So I have two zv4 18s d2s...original plans was to strap afew 2ks on them at 2 ohms but ran across and almost forgot about the 4601ds which are 0.5 stable...I know the opti7001ds do rated i had a popcorn 6k "Same amp". But Im not sure about the smaller versions..gimme some input guys..already have enough electrical to run over 5k daily

Whats your budget? I would stay away from the popcorn sounds amps because iirc they are no longer being made and are prone to breaking. I have no personal experience with the optidrive but a lot of ppl run them and say they have been good to them.

If my memory serves me right, those amps popped from too much input voltage.

Yep, the 7001d specifically had the same issue with the AB wasn't it? Anyways, 2v input was max..  It was a mistake by the buildhouse that customers were not told beforehand.

As far as i know, this only effects the 7001d of opti amps.
