December 1, 201311 yr Author new power plant. 5.3 lm7 Got every thing for 200 bucks had bad crank though. so had to get another block.
December 1, 201311 yr Author went to salvage yard picked up a heavy duty 4l80e transmission. sent computer off for vats removal. 6500 rpm and tables to control transmission (had a 4l60e) . also did wiring harness
December 1, 201311 yr Author for now i'm using the 200r4 trans I had already built it. and wouldn't have to modify the drive shaft. used the extra block and trans to test fit much.
December 1, 201311 yr Author cut and boxed the front cross member. bolted in the motor mounts. put fuel pump in a grand national sending unit upgraded rubber hose and put a inline filter in.
December 1, 201311 yr Author easy tv setup for transmission. and 9.5" 2600 stall converter. I also installed moser 28 spline axles, 4.10 gears with Zexel torsen posi, and trick flow girdle.
December 1, 201311 yr Author I love the fact that I have a serpentine setup. (no alt belt slip) and I have a lot of options being its a truck setup. for now it has a 250amp. ordered a sundown 10" z v.4 (was going to buy the x) and some deadener. on the black friday sale. had a 2500 dd audio 10 poor thing didn't last. going to run two way up front. (eventually)
December 1, 201311 yr Author Awesome. Audio ans speed. That's my style. Thanks, after I save up need to get some body work done, notch the rear frame for wider tires. (traction issues) and get the 4l80e installed. it hauls ass bone stock. I have a nos kit to install then gonna take it to the track. just to see what it will do.
