I e-mailed Sundown and asked for the recommended port area for 2 SD-8's in a box tuned to around 38hz. Anyone have a suggestion ?

did you look at there predesigned enclosure and should be able to see what they have set up on that box. this would point you in a direction.

I think it's in the say box where is sayin target vent speed or something. Put in a number from 15-20 and you'll get the port area you need.

are you looking at the sa 8s or the sd 8. Reason I ask, i thought the SD8 were meant for sealed. I thought sundown was pretty clear that they can be ported, but it was not recommended as they are for sealed.
