I drive a Chevy Silverado 2002 extended cab, and I have the box built for 2 sundown X15s that sundown recommends on their website. My question is, will anything be effected if I put the subs on top facing the roof and the port in the middle facing my windshield. Or should I have it subs up, port up? I'm just wondering if there is a difference and what would be best. Thanks

in my f250 extended cab I had the best luck with subs up port up with the port being on the passenger side.. I tried every which way and that yielded my best results..

how noticable were the results? could u tell by ear or using the meter?

never used a meter. and to me personally not only did it sound better but you could feel more air flow through the window being down and a more solid response.. I had alot of different setups in there but all seemed better facing up port up.. just my opinion take it for what you want. I dont have any hardcore evidence. im sure one of these other people on here have a better ear or something

it only matters if its noticable by ear unless you compete.

OP the only way you can really find out for your specific vehicle is to build multiple boxes and test each way.
