September 2, 201411 yr 80prs in Network mode >>>>> 80prs in non; however, you won't be able to use your rears if you do this. Seriously should though.
September 2, 201411 yr Author I'll have to check the manual for the network mode, I'm not sure what that does, or why it would lose rears. I'll look into it though.
September 2, 201411 yr It gives you 32 bands of eq and electronic crossovers. It is nearly the EXCLUSIVE reason to buy that headunit as well as what makes it one of the best head units ever sold. The best part is though that rears are absolutely useless and pointless anyways so it'll only be an upgrade.
September 3, 201411 yr Long story short, it makes the hu run active. You will no longer need the crossovers that came with the comps. There's a switch on the bottom of the hu you need to flip, then lower the face plate and press the reset button. When you enter the audio menu it will have network mode controls. DO NOT do this if you don't plan to run active or haven't ditched the crossovers and re-wired the comps to their own channels on the amp. It takes a long time to adjust everything, but the rewards are amazing!Oh btw you lose rears because the pre outs change. The front becomes hpf for the tweets. The rear becomes band pass for the mid, and sub remains basically the same other than some added control. Edited September 3, 201411 yr by puscifer2
