Will there be an audible gain, changing from

A) Subwoofer with 1000 rms rating

to

B) Subwoofer with 3000 rms rating

 

Modeling the subs would tell you.

The RMS rating of the subwoofer has absolutely nothing to do with output capablity, efficiency or power requirments, AT ALL.  PERIOD.  EVER.

 

 

SERIOUSLY.

Lol, that's like asking if car B is faster than car A because redline is higher. Think of it that way. Tons of other factors play a part here.
