So nevermind, it's dead dead. I don't even feel like getting it repaired to be honest, after flipping it over in my hands these past few days, it sure does feel like an 80 dollar amp. I am reckless and clumsy, I would like something more durable. Shorting it out was solely my fault, not taramps, but the device feels flimsy. cheap knobs, and loose RCA's, and I can't get a straight answer as to whether or not my speaker terminals are actually supposed to be a phoenix connector (which it is) or traditional screw downs! May 8, 20169 yr Author The negative terminal isn't connected to the board anymore, I opened it up. About 2-3mm gap. Lead melted. The 30a internal fuse is intact though. Weird. Gonna solder it up and see whut it dew Edited May 8, 20169 yr by SpeakerBoy
May 8, 20169 yr I used to do the same thing back in the day on my cheap stuff but now that I'm older and have some high dollar equipment I pull fuses before I touch anything.
