i just put in my sundown 1500D and it turns on, but nothing comes out of it volts or anything :ughdunno:

Do you have the meter set to volts AC?

Sub preouts aren't turned off on the head unit?

Crossovers are set correctly?

What comes out of your amplifier is not DC :)

I'd set the low pass filter to somewhere around 70-100Hz, the exact frequency will vary based on your install and listening tastes, but I try to fiddle with it until I can't hear where the sub is coming from.

That's another reason why you aren't getting much output :D

Subsonic...if you have a ported box, generally 5Hz below tuning is a good place. If your enclosure is tuned below 35Hz or so, you probably won't need it turned on at all. If you have a sealed enclosure, you definitely don't need it on.

Phase is one of those things that you can fiddle with, there's no absolute right answer. Try it for a while one way, reverse it and see if it sounds better/worse.
