April 5, 200718 yr Author Glad it helped. I really prefer midbass to subbass, but you definitely need them both! Now go play some Dave Holland, Charles Mingus, Ron Carter, Stanley Clarke, Oscar Pettiford or whomever you jazz bassist of choice is and hear how much smoother the lower registers are. In my truck, my mids play down to 40hz and it keeps the bassist up front. Personally I hate localized rear bass so anything I can do to be rid of it helps.I agree, no band that I know has the band out front and sticks there bass player in the back of the room. Although I've played with some bass players that should just be left out of the room. hahah. I did pull the midbass down to 46hz (lowest point of the Zed Amps) and it sounded fine. I have it a 50hz for safety right now till I can get a bit more listening to them.
