Don't know if you have dash locations , if you do they might be a good place to start with the tweets mounted .heaping helping of time alignment?what dash locations you talking about?

May 1, 200718 yr My thoughts since I have a very good amount of EXP in these trucks.#1Kick pannels...You have them, keep them. I suggest you either glass the back of those or deaden them very well. This will help you get a bit more midbass out of them. If possible, point them more tword the center of the dash. This will help even them more and bring your stage further out off the dash and on the hood.#2Tweeters in a-pillars Mount them low, cause the glass is at an angle that your stage will raise to the roof. Mount them just before the slope at the bottom of the pillar.#3Time allignment...you will need it in our very wide vehicles...#4 (not so important)Add another set of midbass drivers in the door.Cross them over low if possible 180-200hz and below. Deaden your door very well. If you cross them that low you SHOULD be able to get away without time allignment on them.#5EQ, the trucks have a major spike in the 125hz and 350hz range as well as a few others...You might be ok in the kicks if you dont run another set of mid bass in the doors...those were from the doors.#6 and last...Have fun and make your truck sound good to YOU...THAT is what is most important. YOU spend the most time in there, why shouldnt you be happy with it

May 2, 200718 yr His is a 3 way with Coustic 4" mids and Extremi in the doors. It would definitely be a good starting place to have a listen as from owning mine and knowing what is in his it should surely be either sweet or a stellar start on the way.

May 5, 200718 yr What crossovers you'll need depends on what kind of setup you end up with. The higher-end head units usually have some sort of active crossovers onboard, but they may or may not be flexible enough for your install. There's a couple good brands of outboard crossovers, Audiocontrol comes to mind.
