Posted May 4, 200718 yr I haven't bought this sub yet but, i do plan on buying a 15" mag and plan on having a JL 500/1 feeding it. I really don't want to go over $1,000 and still have a bad ass system. I might even save up for the JL 1000/1 but its a bit more than i want to spend. I am shooting for SQ and still want low's. I'm guessing 3^3 seal box will have slightly better lows than 2.5^3? This install is going into a Crown Victoria 89'. So i got plenty of trunk space to deal with. Also curious how loud this speaker would get with just a JL 500/1 feeding it instead of having a JL 1000/1.

It would be fine with 500, but in a sealed I would give it more to get it going. Have you looked at other amps besides JL? There are a lot out there that are just as good, for less money, like my Memphis MCD 1000.

Thanks!I'd say Memphis, just to keep Ben Milne from getting another dime, but that's just IMHO Check Ebay perhaps? I'm sure you can find a deal on a solid reliable kW for not much.

More efficient and more reliable than ED, Check the claasifieds and Ebay. I bought my MCD 1000 for around 250.00 barely used and my Mag shines. I am not about being heard outside the car, but I get a lot of looks, with only a Mag 12
