..wow...couldn't that much excursion damage the sub?! and i thought i had my 15" moving a lot, jesus.

For the little bit that I had it going full excursion (about the equivalent of 2 seconds) it didn't damage anything. If I were to have left it like that for an hour or so it would have caused the coil to burn up, but nothing with the suspension would have been damaged b/c the coil never reaches the backplate due to the design. :)

yeah...full excursion and what everyone's definition of full excursion isn't exactly the same. That thing will throw down!

Imma say I got farther than that...it was definitely not linear..but I KNOW I got farther than that...and no harm....I dunno...maybe my eyes were deceiving me..but I coulda SWORN it was farther...

The video does it no justice. I think I need to increase the frequency and bring it up to / near full excursion with about 45 Hz or so. That might actually show up better. I'll try that the next time I get bored at the house. :)

yeah nick you need to get a good video at full excursion. that video is not even close to looking like it does in real life. if you saw it in person you would probably poop yourself.

Haha, see, I'm not totally full of it. :) Steve saw a 15" a full stroke and just about pooped himself. It's really nuts when you see it in person.

Haha, yeah, that was cool. ~2800 watts on a fresh, non-broken-in, Magnum. That was definately cool.

I want that video btw....seriously...send it to me..ASAP

ive got a few short video clips of a mag inverted in a small sealed box being introduced to some wall sockets :)

Heyy...I'd excurt a good 7" p2p if you would stick a paper clip into a wall socket...and NO...it won't be inverted...*one step ahead of Hollis*

it looks like you are trying to be funny... but i cant tell for sure.

clarke, could you please work on making the rest of your post a little more un-retarded?
