Posted May 4, 200421 yr In the 2.0 cubic foot recommended box, how much power can they stand for burping? At what point does the added power stop increasing SPL?I am wondering the difference in 600 wat per driver to maybe 2000 per drive on a burp . Which may be somewhat "extreme".

Which may be somewhat "extreme". 2000-watts has been done on Mags for burps... but burnt coils from that kind of thing are not warranty items.
May 4, 200421 yr Author "theoreticly" there is a 3 db increase when you double power correct?I may try ~1500 per driver.
May 5, 200421 yr So much more can be had with perfecting your enclosure...For the 12's, Loyd was saying about 3.5 cubes tuned just under resonant frequency....Play around with cone areaBackwave?Eliminate Corners1/4 wave theoryMaster your box with tricks...then increase power.....
