Posted June 20, 200718 yr So Ive been sittin on my fully loaded BTL 18" since christmasI wasn't able to afford the electrical upgrades to power this sub..Well fast forward to now. I'm now financially stable enough to afford the amp,batteries,etc...I want to go with a Rockford T30001BD. I'm thinking of running a 240 amp alt, dual optimas one upfront and one in the rear, and 2 runs of 0/1 gauge. I have a few questions on doing this correctly.Do I do 2 runs from the front batt to the rear and then then run a single one to the amp?? And do I fuse each run of 0/1 gauge as well.?? I'm kinda lost when it comes to supplying the correct amount of power to the Amp.thanks matt

Just one run to the amp should be plenty....I would fuse each run within 18" of the battery. Meaning you fuse the front end...AND the back end. So each cable has 2 fuses.

June 21, 200718 yr Ok. If you just have the one fuse in the front...and you ground out in the middle...the front fuse pops cutting power from the front battery, but since there is no fuse in the back, the back battery will still power a meltdown.Fuse every battery positive wire, if the wire is covering any real distance.
June 21, 200718 yr i am using a 2006 350zi use a single 12" set up either 1 each TRF22121 each FI BTL1 each TC 30001 each RF T2i swap out GOD always but i run a 2007 T40001BD at 2 ohms , 1 ohm and .75 ohm i am using factory alt 120 amps , stinger 1000 under hood , stinger 680 in hatchback , 0 awg stinger , 300 amp anl fuse my stinger volt meter hooked at hatch battery on stingers 680 cell seems to read 14.2 volts under normal listening and 13.6- 13.8 on pounding so i am maintaing decent voltage with a T40001BD FYI though a wrangler 180 amp alt would be sweet
