Posted June 30, 200718 yr When using the online port length calculator, http://www.carstereo.com/help2/Articles.cfm?id=31 , when it says to input the internal cf of my box do i use the gross - bracing - driver displacement or do I use gross - bracing - driver displacement - estimated port displacement? IE i have 5.2 cf gross internel volume. I will have about 4.6-4.7 after bracing and woofer displacement. Should I use 4.6 as my internal cf or should I use 4.0 cf as I am estimating the port will take up .6-.7 cf? btw the port size is 19x3.Thanks very much
July 1, 200718 yr The tuning of a port is after you calculate all internals such as displacements and etc...If im not mistaken...So I would say use the net which should be your VB....
July 1, 200718 yr shoot for what your net will be after all displacments, ports, subs, bracing, etc. you'll have to figure actual port displacment when it gives you the length, so you might need to adjust the volum a time or two to get it right.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
