I have two 12" Kicker L7s on a PA 2400DB, which does about 1400W. My subs are dual 2 ohm and im looking for an amp that does at least 1600 clean watts. Or anything yall would recommend to make these things beat. Don't get me wrong though these things do hit hard. I have a sealed box now, but i may want to go to a ported box. What do yall think the cubic ft. and tuning should be for 2 12" L7s. (I listen mostly to rap)

Don't do something stupid like buying a new amp before you build a ported box. A new box can make a tremendous difference. As for specs on the box, use what kicker recommends. Tuning tends to be around 32hz for daily.

kickers boxes are generally tuned to like 37 hz for manufacturers specs

i would always go with a new box before buying a new amp.

i remember reading a thread a long time ago about a guy who no matter what everyone told him insisted on buying a new amp, without building a new box first. waste of money IMO

You need around 1.7 to 2 cubes for each sub. Plan on about a 3.5cuft box ported around 32hz.
