  1. Thanks Bro

I moved from Dallas Tx too

    BFE ( Baton Rough ) LA :(

took a few weeks to get everything up and running Pc/Internet wise

    not many comps here :bull::suicide-santa:

    going NUTS................

    but i got Killer job...

i work @ a place where we build Custom Fire trucks for EVERYWHERE in the USA...

i deal with the Graphics that go on the truck

  2. I agree, if there were parameters set then we could gain more out of the topic. Such as, utmost power and reliability, or features and flexibility, or pure clean unfiltered sound, so on so on.

parameters ??? we dont need no stinking parameters :)

just get the most Awsome amps on EARTH ( SUNDOWN AUDIO ) FTW :slayer::domoslay::slayer:

but on a serious note remember a Product is only as good as it's WARRANTY...

    Jacob RULES :rockwoot:

  3. please explaine the NEO motor thingy :)

what is the addvantage of it over a standard motor

    / cone compsition ?

coil size / power limit etc etc etc ???

Neodymium magnet structure - much smaller and lighter.

Cone is treater / waterproofed paper.

I will rate them 50 watts full bandwidth - with a proper HPF filter using more power should not present a problem.

These will cost under $100 each MSRP.

    100 per set ?

    :)

will it come with Tweeters ?

    crossovers ?

or will we have to procure this seperatelly?

  4. Maybe check out the Hi-Vi components. But if you are getting a 4 channel consider going active. :)

i know this has come up before but i wish someone would do a "HOW to" DIY with pics... or a sticky ....

i wanna go active but i know ill F-it up...

i have NO CULE how to manage any Freq above 120Hz

  5. 600watts ???

    for 2x 18" Mach Subs ???

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is that TOTAL so 300watts per sub ???

assumming your voltage stays @ or neer 14v

    Wow.......................

seems a lil under powered

am i too assume this is not an SPL setup !?!

im having an 18" built that will take both of my SAZ 3000d amps straped @ ( 6000watts )

wont mention the builder so as not to be acused of Thread Jacking !!! sorry for the WOW but 600 i hope thats a typeO

  6. So I'm going to start building a loud setup soon, as my Q is fine for daily and sounds great, I want to build something to get really loud.I just want to move some serious air, what would I be happier with?

Incriminator DP 21" in about 9-10 cubes, tuning (30-33hz?)

Two 18"s, (AA Havoc, eD 19Ov.2, Fi Q/BTL, Mach5 IXL), in about 10 cubes, same tuning.

    Post your suggestions.

:i can read just fine :slayer:

just trying to warn you about using LOUD & SQ in the same thread as 21" sub :)

  7. Ummmmmmmmmmm ???

you wanna do a 21" sub for SQ ???

theSQ guys are going to Shread your post...

    Loud SQ ???

this is going to be ugly !!! i know :)

i tried this topic once upon a time...

the SQ guys like 8" / 10" subs with only front stage setups.............

    NOTHING over 130db !!!

my 6x9s will do 126db with the sub off :slayer:

  8. if the rule says under 16 and you're at 15, then you're not bending the rules, lol. you are indeed following them.

and i agree with you. if the MLA voltage controller is doing as advertised, then how was one suckered into it? but Adrian nailed it, the end user has to know what his batteries are wanting, and if he chooses to overcharge and cause the issue, not really the batteries fault. that said, one would like to assume that a battery designed for this very thing (car audio) would be capable of accepting a charge from any aftermarket alt or charger.

    wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

    Well Said :slayer:

i wish i could express myself that clearly :domoslay:

  9. Im using the MLA module as well, im idling at 15.2v, im also using a yellowtop in front and a kinetik hc2400 in the rear, been using it for a month now, no problems so far.

I felt that my amps loved the + on the voltage, it seems like it became a bit louder and cleaner.

    Great to hear :)

so that is 2 of us using the Missing Link Audio "voltage controller WITH NO PROBLEMS !!! AMAZING

is it possible that the battery's were BAD or DEFECTIVE causing the failure ???

just want to ask do you drive a Ford or GM ?

I believe the discussion was about charing Kinetik's with >14.3v.

I know but at some point it was mentioned that "Those of us that got suckered into using the Missing link Audio" Controller or something to that effect...?

my reply was that its not the voltage controllers fault that the battery's are inferior

seems a better battery is needed for those poor soles that got suckered into using Kinetik battery's

i mean why buy a battery that has a voltage cap ???

seems counter productive to me !!!

  11. Looks like bad news for every one who suckered up and bought one of those Missing Link Audio voltage boosters.
Hmm, I seem to recall saying this would happen.

I have been using the MLA voltage controler for 3 months now WITHOUT a PROBLEM

    my batterys stay fully charged.

it would seem that the Kinetik battery is the problem not the MAL device.

i use an Optima Yellow in the stock location & 2x NSB 125 batterys in the rear with the SAZ 2x 3000d amps WITHOUT a PROBLEM

    None what so ever.................................

the amps love the voltage and i havent seen any problems with the amps because of the higher voltage in fact my SCORE went UP ^^^

    from 153.4 to 154.3db :slayer:

  12. What are the T/S on your WMD^2 woofers ? Just curious :)

    Revc 2 ohms

    fs 25 hz

    qes .52

    qms 4.3

    qts .46

    le 1.2 mh

    vas 3.79 ft^3

    bl 15

    sens 87 db 1w1m

Is that RE of 2 ohms per VC or is that with coils in series (eg: dual 1) ?

    its a Dual 1ohm sub / 2ohm Series..

i have ea. sub wired 2ohm series and ties parrellel to the amps showing a 1ohm final load for the set
