  1. I went to Sicnick Yesterday / Pulled into the lane and burped a 151.5db

    2x 15" Pap Wmd^2 subs

    2x Sundown SAZ 3000z amps

    1 MLA controller

boxx laying down / subs up^^ ports back<< / Under the window line / using the G@y@ss Hampsterball-mic holder

    Voltage never dropped below 14.7

took 1st place in my class / 600-1800stock

beat a a lot of guys with more subs etc etc etc

i lent the LB MOAB XxX to my Friend Trevor / he took 1st place also 0-600 with a 143.4db / using a lil Memphis 1000d amp and only the stock Battery & alt

    those are carbon/fiber cones :domoslay:

get what ever you think youll like and can afford :)

i just offered these as a suggestion / been lissening to them play music for 2 weeks now and they Slamm Low notes / non-fading Bass

in my Spl box 7cf ported @ 54Hz they did 154.4db :slayer:

  3. Tuning to driver Fs usually isn't the right answer. Most subs want a tuning a bit higher than that, some lower,

almost none right at. Without T/S parameters you're just guessing at volume and tuning.

Not the best way to get nice response from a sub. At least you're giving it a shot.

i am going to have it metered and find out what it wound up being / i had planned on the ports being 27" /

but with the wood i had it wound up being 24.75" so i think its tuned to about 28Hz

i just wanted to try something different closer to SQ / take a walk on the SQ side of life :)

i know its not an 8" sub but it was as close as i could get with the equipment i had on hand,

thats why i contacted PAP and had them build a set of Musical subs that could take the power from Both the Sundown Audio 3000d amps :)

i have a 12" SS SPL-X quad coil but the tollerance on the coil gap is tight like the RE MT - not ment for Music /

  4. okay well I want alot of bass...low bass you can hear a mile away but yet I like to hear my lyrics also. would be kool to enter a bass competition and actually place top 5 or better then on the way home or wherever maybe have some sort of remote/toggle to where the stereo isnt beating so low, so i can here the lyrics....maybe.... hopefully? so far my ideas are running an alpine deck, 1 15" FI Q sub, JBL 1200.1db amplifier, and maybe an extra batt as well as an alt upgrade? how does this sound? should I run a ported or bandpass box?

And what do lyrics have to do with subwoofers ?

Subs are not ment to play Voices,,,

if you can hear someone singing through the subs

you have the crossover set Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too High

    and will sound like :bull:

  5. the Range of Freq: a given type of Box can reproduce /

sealed boxs do well from 45Hz up^^^ help the sub take a lil more power using the back pressure in the boxx /

Ported boxxs let you get more range & tune to the Freq: you desire has a Wide roll off on both ends of the Center Freq: /

BanPass Boxxs use a Sealed smaller chamber & a Larger Ported chamber to get the most outta the sub but has a limited Freq: range - one song will Slammmm and the next you wouldent know you had a sub installed because the notes are out of the Range that the box can reproduce...

I hope i got this correct...

  6. Ups showed up and the Box was Crushed !!!

looked like they had run into it with a forklift a few times

Basket was Shattered / UPS driver would not let me take pics of it so i REFUSED it /

the next one will have to have a Frame/crate built inside the cardboard box,

it was completlly distroyed ( the box i mean ) thats why i insisted on

openning it to see if the sub had survived / it had not

The box was obliterated and looked as though it had been dropped from the 2nd floor of some building...

UPS has Crushed my Soul !!!

I was going to build the X1 enclosure and Dominate the Sicknic/Usaci here in South LA

oh well on too Plan B

i'll use the Bigg Boxx too do Street Beat Class / and then on the 2nd day ill pull out the Beast and SPL em too death

  7. What's the giant line of glue curved across the top of the box?

Not bad though. Last box I built was around 32hz and I thought it was darn near perfect.

the gule was from previous attempt to build a box i saw in a supermodd van / i had did a ruff estimate and cut the dimentions in half thinking it would slamm @ss in the SUV and it did above 90Hz, but not below 80Hz :(

this was the boxx that Floopped :bull:

so i took it appart and rebuilt it into the Bigg 25Hz Beast

  8. 25hz is low, next time try 28 or even 30hz. Going much lower in a car doesn't actually help. Nice to see you trying something new though.

i tuned it too the Fs of the cone :)

i gotta say it is nice being able to hear the notes that fade out on a box tunned higher /

this thing has the Flattest responce iv seen on a plot/cruve.

it does play clean and clear @ lower freq,

i had ordered those sub built to take the power i was going to use and had 2 spiders & additional pole venting too keep the coils cooler :)

i have been pounding them in an 11cf enclosure for 2 weeks now and i havent smelled the Glue burn off yet they havent gotten warm enuff with 2x 3000d amps STRAPPED playing in a box ported @ 25Hz !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    AMAZING :slayer:

i know its not the tipical SQ box, and thank you for the kind input... do you think i should round off the corners on the Port openning ?

@ lower volumes i can hear faint port turbulance...

  9. I have finished the boxx for the 2x 15" WMD^2 subs w/ carbon fiber cones.

wanted to have a boxx for MUSIC, not SPL

    the external dimentions are

    H- 18"

    W- 41.5"

    D- 35.5"

    Port was rear fireing

    2x pieces 16.5" x 23.75"

    overall

    H- 16.5"

    W- 5"

    Lv- 23.75"

I was shooting for 25Hz port Freq: got D@mmm Close

went for a drive and it really POUNDS on the lower notes and has SMOOTH Transition between higher notes...

the subs are loacted on the rear of the boxx facing Up ^^ neer the back window port fires to the rear door seperating the subs and BRACING the boxx

Pics / a lil late but better than never :slayer::snipersmilie:
