    A few questions

I was considering the Big Bang 3000, they have refurbs on ebay with 2yr warranty, but I also have a friend that might be able to hook me up. I am between the Big Bang and an Audiopipe 30001D for an install in a friends vehicle, they both seem to be decent bang for the buck and he is on a tight budget. I honestly don't care if it puts out true rated rms, if it comes anywhere close it will be a decent investment.

    A few questions

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Planet Audio, in particular the Big Bang line of amps. I've heard mixed opinions but for some reason the aesthetic's intrigue me. also.... I'm gonna be adding an additional battery to two different installs with similar power requirements and I wanted to know if anyone knew of a good isolator for a decent price (hence my username) thanks
  3. Had a DB electrical 200A, lasted about 3 months and had to be repaired, they repaired in a timely manner, but I was unimpressed with the quality. The + post to attach battery cable to also worked it's way loose when I was re-installing and I had to crack the damn thing open myself to fix that. Check out powerbastards.com, I'll probably go here next, they look promising.

    Impedance Rise & Box Design

So I have been doing the car stereo thing for about 6 years, even having won several competitions but have never even considered impedance rise when building cabinets and I just wanted to get some info on this phenomena. I understand that it boils down to the size/shape/style of the box and any obstructions such as wires, braces, etc. 1. how can I test my setup to find my impedance rise? 2. can impedance rise be combated by wiring below rated amplifier impedance? 3. are there any build orientations that are more resistant to this? (sub/port firing back; sub firing up/port back; etc.) I am installing in a 2004 pontiac grand prix and a 2008 ford escape, any info will be greatly appreciated.
