Which subs should I go with

He's putting them in a 98 extended cab s10. Sa12s are a bit cheaper, made in china. You get them ASAP. SSD's are custom built for you here in the US. Gotta wait a bit buy Fi quality is worth it IMO. I run sa12s. Come over to my house Stephen, ill show you what they can do. If I had to do it again I would go SSD for the slight power handling difference and the fact I've never really heard a Fi in a good box sound bad. Love Fi quality.

    slanted box

Should snap a few pictures of your back seat area. Might get some better ideas if we're able to see it. I would just pull the seats out and somehow build a false floor secured down and screw box to that.
  3. Should bump all his old projects just so people who don't know can see these pieces of art. Spent the last hour going through his archive. Truly amazing.
  4. When I first joined this forum you were running strong pumping out enclosures. Always loved your work. Wish the best for you man.

    slanted box

A box big enough for 2 15's could be a big projectile in an accident.

15" SSA Xcon or 15" Fi Bl

They stopped producing the btl. Can sometimes find them used.

    resale advice

Great head unit. If I needed one and had an old sub laying around I would just pull the trigger to get what I wanted.on the other hand I need a double din head unit and selling my unused UFO btl 18 hasn't crossed my mind one time. Funny how we become attached to these things lol

    The Judge

I'm not trying to beat you guys up at all. Always wanted to run some of your gear. Shouldn't this all be as publicly posted as possible? Being in California all I've seen from IA is on the Internet.

Why so stingey with the pics? You know there badass and people will want them. Think about the people who are in the market for new subs.. Might just go with something else and not wait for yours since they haven't really seen anything.

Sounds like it could be badass. Unfortunately out of my budget. Ill just dream of owning it like I do with most gear out there lol

Don't you think a pic or some specs will help build interest?

    Help with system going active

I can grow 'produce' here in California. Only cost me $70 a year lol
  18. I love my 80prs as far as features go. Lots of control with it. Is there any double din touch screen hu's out there capable of processing? Looking to put one in my 03 Tahoe.

    Help with system going active

    Made me laugh.
  20. This particular vehicle will be driven on weekends. Doesn't mean I want any less quality sound though. I think this thread has ran it's course. Should have named it differently. I'm thinking I need to take a different approach to learning an active setup. Probably should settle on a decent looking double din for this vehicle and put my attention to install of this focal set in my doors. These speakers sounded amazing to me in the shops sound board. Thanks for everyone's advice and pointing me towards a active capable head unit. When time and most importantly budget allows ill tackle it!
  21. My skill level for an active setup is very little. Been telling myself for the past 2 vehicles I was going to run an active front stage and bitched out. I'm intimidated by it. Picked up a 80prs for my Malibu and got it on standard mode with a passive component set. I love the options and haven't even kicked it into big boy mode yet. Now I've always read that buying a passive component set and running it active isn't always the best bet. True? About 6 months ago I purchased a focal polyglass set. Ps165. Does it make sense to run this set active? Spent a lot of money on them and that ultimately will decide how I approach the front stage in my Tahoe. Guess I'm still undecided and a bit lost on where I want to go. I could afford another 80prs but its so damn ugly lol. Hell maybe I can just throw in a $400 pioneer DD and add processing later?
  22. Nice looking head unit. As I figured its a bit out of my price range.

    T nuts

I just used basic drywall screws for my sa12s. Used tnuts on my 18" BTL and regret it. Suckers lost their grab and just spin. Stuck until I crack open the box
