Sub has arrived, pics and all

I think you were only running one coil at first! Hopefully you get that beauty pounding soon! Gorgeous subwoofer, good luck man!
  2. I am looking into adding a second battery and all i need to know is whether i am missing any big deals/sales right now, or if anyone has a better option for me in the $180.00 range?! Can anyone point me into the direction of a better "deal" than the hc1400 for $165.00?! eBay Thanks!

    Car subwoofer in the house

12V car battery, trickle charger. You get the correct amperage without the headaches. Fuse it like you would in a car, and run your rca's to the amp. Been doing it for 3 months here at college, works like a charm.

I appreciate the welcomes, and mbarber25 i figured i'd say that i found your videos on youtube before i signed up here, and have to say you're one of the reasons i've continued looking into the btl. I stumbled onto your build log a little later. Good stuff man! And jay-cee, thanks for the photo tip, i'll have to look into that!
  5. So i am in a debate between the Fi BL 15 and Fi BTL 15, the deciding factor is wether or not i will have the electrical support for the amplifier. I am wondering if i would have enough electrical to keep up with the Hifonics BXi2610d to run on the BTL... Here are my specs... Electrical: Stock Alternator 105 Amps Stock Battery Up Front Big Three in 1/0 One run of 1/0 to Trunk Power Acoustik 5.0 Farad Cap. ( start criticizing, it will be gone in the new setup) I have been running 1100rms at 2-ohms with little noticable dimming while sitting still, but none while driving. I plan to add a Kinetik 1200 in the rear with the new installation. My voltage has never dipped below 12.2V without the kinetik, how efficient would this be to run the 2610d??? Thanks ahead guys

Hello all, i'm not necessarily new here but just got around to posting an introduction. I frequent a few other car audio forums and can say i have became an addict. My ride is nothing special, i own a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero GX (base edition). She has 110,000 miles on her and still running like a champ. Audio-wise, i am running: Head Unit - Kenwood KDC-MP538u Amplifier - Hifonics BXi1610d Subwoofers - Two old' school 15" Petra Prowlers sealed. One run of 1/0 to the rear with The Big Three done up in 1/0. I am looking forward to actually contributing to this site, and now need to get my post count up to be eligable to start my own threads, i have some questions... lol Here are a few pics, again nothing special. My only termlab score was a few months ago. Then i had the two 15"s bridged to about 400wrms off a visonik amp, 4 gauge ran to the back, and no big three. 141.5 legal sealed at the dash. Hmmm... cannot figure out how to insert a file...
