I agree with you 100%. The bitching and complaining was completely inappropriate. I wasn't defending those people in anyway, I was just theorizing on why those people were mad.

x3 but people should realize that nothing is forever and that Jacob is bound to change up his product lines. I think people were mad because he did it sooner than anyone could have expected, the 2000d hasn't been out very long.

Looks great so far, those mid 90s suburbans have retarded amounts of space to work with.
It'll be nice to see 4 18s in proper airspace with a proper amount of port area.

Do the job of what? 4 15s will probably do what you want them to do, especially on 8000 watts.
If you're feeling ambitious and want 4 18s, build at least a 20 cu. ft. net box. with at least 320 sq. in. of port area.

Right now I only have the stock alt. But I have CS-130 case 200 amp Powermaster alternator (pn48203) I will adapt to the honda this summer. The CS-130 case Is BIG so we will see. I think at that point I should be good as good gets. FEEL THE POWER!!!
Yeah, I have a stock 130amp alternator and I'm not sure if I'll have to upgrade to power 2k rms.

16cuft isn't enough for almost any 18 in a quantity of 4. That's only 4cuft per sub. That's ideal for most 15's however so if I was you that's how I'd go, that or two real good 18's.
x2, that would work nicely.

Jacob seemed pissed off, I would be too they were being bitches about the whole thing.
They went to the beach and got sand in their vagina's I guess
People should just be happy that Jacob runs a business as good as it is and updates his product lines as often as he does. He could easily keep the same product lines for significant amounts of time and instead he updates and release new products regularly.
If jacob decided to release some nice components, Sundown would be a one stop shop for high quality car audio.

What exactly is the advantage to the folded horn enclosure?
the most obvious advantages are very low group-delay and a phase-shift favourable to normal ported enclosures while output is as good as a normal ported enclosure or better.
a good flat response , and deadly accurate , disadvantages are a very steep roll-off, below tuning it very quickly has no powerhandling at all and the box is not by any means small.
*edit* glad I could take you down memory lane Thumpper
That makes sense, that clarifies what I read last night on folded horns.

You need that piece or the opposite sex?
im going to need the whole cable.
Male and female
Its an 05' International
Stories is that the previous driver of the bus was playing inappropriate music, so the bus ppl just yanked that cable.
And guess what they lost it
Hmm, maybe you can go to an international dealer and order the parts you need.

Try out a couple of 21" Wardens.

That's some incredible box building. What exactly is the advantage to the folded horn enclosure?

So you've gotten rid of the 4 hdc 15s and the 2x aq2200D's?
Yes
As of right now im working on some detals to my next system coming very soon
Thinking 4 15'', 4 18'', or 3 18'' Fi BTL Fully Loaded. Thing is I need alot of space for them woofer with the amps and battartys.
Amps could be 1 AQ20K, 3 AQ3500.1D, or 4 AQ3500.1D (Rated 4300rms @1 ohm 14.4v 1% THD.)
Also Going with Powermaster d3100s and a 2d Dc power alt.
Sick, stick with the 4 15s. A 12 cu. ft. box tuned low with 4 15s would slam pretty good, especially with 20k rms going to em.

any ideas where to find a connector for a school bus radio?
number on piece: 048C B
I don't know if the pins on that connector are male or female, but these are the pins you will need.
A crimper like this one, they get a little pricey.

Although grounding that wire is technically against the law and you can be ticketed for it.
PS I don't want to be a Debbie downer, just wanted to throw that info out.
yeah and you can also add a switch to make it work whenever you want it or not
make it legal on command
That's a great idea, thought never even crossed my mind.

Looking good! I understand about "tilting" the woofer, I had to do the same to mine to get inserts into the wood where I could use machine screws to hold my subs in. In my box instead of fiberglass resin, I simply primed and painted the port and sanded it with 220-2000 grit sandpaper to make it as smooth as possible at all edges. It feels like glass when you run your hand down the port. I don't know if it will help the airflow, but I don't think it can hurt! Keep the pics coming!
THe F*cking cutout dim. FI gives you is BIG so the hole is little big. I think it will be fine with T-nuts.
I got some cool dark gray stone looking textured paint for the port, Should look match the charchol carpet nicely!
The fiberglass was pointless and I won't be doing anymore. I was under the wrong impression as to why people use it. Now I know.
I am working on the battery box, 1/0 ga ran, spare tire mount fixed and then I can do the box. Time is a premium around here right now.
Don't worry I am taking pictures.
Awesome, what size alternator do you have? One of these days I wanna build a ported box for my SA-12s then maybe upgrade to DC lvl 4 12s and find a used SAZ-2000D. I'm gonna try and squeeze a D6500 under the hood of my car to power it all, maybe a D1200 in the back for added support.

So interesting feature on my new dmm. If you have the leads plugged in to measure voltage or resistance and you switch it to measure amperage without changing the lead, it emits a ton like a continuity tester until you put the lead in the correct location.

that is one of the rarest/sexiest back sides....
Believe it or not I'm not a fan. It's like one of those girls with a real skinny waist but then huge badonkadonk and hips. Just looks goofy.
I love that look on a female as long as it still looks proportional and not just sloppy.

Looks nice, why not start an official build log?

nice, that fiberglass work came out awesome.
If you took any pics of the fiberglassing process, you should post those as well.

I was thinking for shear originality. You don't see 21's very often.
