Tightened everything up, replaced the fuses and its running fine thus far. I'll get more time on it tomorrow and see how it holds up.

I think its good. The amp is screwed to a carpeted piece of 3/4 mdf with rubber washers under the feet/mounting holes. There are rubber washers glued to the bottom of the MDF n it is screwed to the trunk floor

No big 3 but I did replace the factory ground with 1/0 knu wire; nothing upgraded off alt tho

Dude I already have the feeling she's getting ready to go. I wondered the same thing about the 120 fuse. Already convincing the wife I need new! Lol

Anl fuse is the large one between battery and amp? (2 prongs on one end and a hooked prongon other side). I'll check all connections and give each fastner a little turn. Then just replace the amp fuses and test her out?

Ive had a sundown sae 1200 v2 for going on 4 years now. Its been ran in two systems/cars both at 1 ohm. I installed it those two times set it and left it(set it differently). Been going strong until today.
My car is a Buick lesabre with a stock 130a alt. My battery is under backseat and power n ground are ran from battery to amp; literally 2-3 ft long runs. My voltage has always been decent; mid 13s is about the lowest I see on hard drops. Today on my way home from work beating all the way here; 15-20 minutes. Right when I pulled into town my bass stopped.upon inspection all 5 30a fuses in the amo popped, the 120a fuse in between the battery and amp did not. All power and ground connections are tight at amp n battery.
Suggestions/advice appreciated. Where should I start with troubleshooting? Open the amp, look for fried connections?

Fi SSD d2 12 for sale. Its the model before the one Fi is currently selling. Still in great condition, barely used has been sitting in my closet for approx a year. One small blemish on dust cap(pictured), like new functionality.
Asking $120 plus shipping. Will ship in original packaging. For shipping quotes, figure 30-35 lbs from zip code 61443.
Not sure how to post pictures here so here's the link to my fb fs post

What do I seal the big holes off with? Is it much work to make an adapter/baffle for 6.5 to fit? And is there going to be much different in output; obviously they're bigger but 1.25" doesn't seem like much.

Alright on the baffles, there's no issue with clearance with the door panel? I do plan to deaden the doors while I have the panels off. What exactly do you mean by block the back wave? Like enclose it?This is my first time trying to set up an amplified front stage, I really appreciate the info.

Well i guess I'm looking for more midbass than wat I have which is stock. Could I get some type of adapter to make 6.5s fit?

My uncle ordered a four channel for his bike and gave me an arc audio mini amp ( http://www.arcaudio.com/p/ks-125-2-bx-mini# ). Does 70 RMS @ 4 ohms x 2 and 125w @ 2 ohms x 2.
So now I'm looking for a good set of 5.25 component speakers. I have a 2001 Buick lesabre and that's wat size comes stock in the front doors. For substage I'm going to be running a 18" SSA Icon sealed off on approx 1000 watts. I want crisp highs and warm mid bass that will blend well with my sub stage.
Looking for good suggestions on a set in the 100-150 dollar range. My uncle has all Polk components in his truck and bike and think they ssound good. Any opinions on them?

I'm going with 18, always wanted one lol. No doubt my trunk is big enough to go ported but I need some trunk space(occasionally gotta fit a stroller in there and whenever we had a trip need that little storage). Going with a 18 sealed I'll have over half my trunk still. If an aero ported box doesn't take up much more; that'll be the winner

Thats wat I'm hoping for....pondering making aero port box if it doesn't take up too much room(any advice on designs are welcome; can't me taller than 16" tho). The sealed design will only cover around half my trunk given me decent storage/cargo space

Thanks Aaron. I sent you a pm with questions

Thats probably wat I'm going to do then. Its goin in the trunk of a Buick lesabre, I planned to have the sub firing upwards. Would these dimensions work 26"W x 26"D x 16" T; flush mount. I'm getting 4.77 cu ft almost exactly 4.5 after sub displacement. If it is sufficient, should I put in polyfill in it to increase efficiency?

More or less, how does the icon do sealed? I like how it sounds and the output with the ported box. I've had sealed set-ups and liked them as well. I listen to a mix of music, primarily rap (ace hood, meek, tech 9) and quite a bit of rock rhcp, rage, 5 finger death punch and various dub step tracks and things similar to it.

Thats 300 just for the other sub. And I have a d2 now so it wouldn't wire up in my favor to utilize my amp. And a single 18 is still more cone area which is what I'm after I guess. Here I am talking my self into it lol

So I currently have a 12" SSA Icon on a sundown sae 1200 in 2 cu ft enclosure tuned to 32 hz. I'm wanting to try something new and came up with the idea to recone it to an 18 and run it in a 4.5-5 cu ft sealed enclosure.
I know it will have a flatter response but am I going to see a nice increase in output? I would assume because of the large cone area difference.
I thought about trying a different sub but I like my icon and have always wanted to try a 18; and it'll be cheaper than purchasing a different sub. Will I be disappointed? Can anyone point out differences like pros and con's, lol. Any help is appreciated

Why do you hate to say that? Makes me weary

Nothing? No places to get one?

Scooped this up for $40, thought that was a decent deal. Its a 12 and originally a dual 2. Id like to get a quality recone kit for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Id like it to be a dual 1.4 with attached leads and as close to stock as possible, unless there's reasons I shouldnt. itll be used for daily listen, ill be runnin a sundown sae 1200 @ 1 ohm to it in a 2 cu ported box tuned to 32 hz. I have a 12 spoke basket I could use if that gives me different options; more excursion?
