    ok i order a 15" fi btl fully loaded with a dual 2 ohm. i have been researching a lil bit and im confused.... i will be using a sundown audio saz2000d for this sub how do i wire the subto my amp ??? should i have order it dual 1 ohm?? im confused///

    Need help for a BTL box

    i am having the same problem understanding how to tune/port... since therules its 12"-16" , i used 14" , and my box its 4.5 after displacement. so 4.5x14= 63. 63=thats my port area ... now how deep should the port be ? i wanna tune to 33hz.. sorry for hijacking the thread but im desperate to finish my box

    help with a 15"fi btl box

    ok i have a box thats Height22.75 X Widht14.5 X 32.75Depth... i have a 15"fi btl wich calls for 12-16sq inches per cuft... i think i have around 3.5cubes in my box. port size would be 3.5x13 = 45.5sqinches now... i want to tune it to 32-34hz... how long should my port be ?? 26.5 inches long??? also all these number look rigth to you guys ??? i know the box its on the samll side but thats the biggest i could fit on my truck... please help me
  4. ok ,so i got a box (not really square, its a pentagon) made out of 3/4mdf , i got 5.09 cubes of air space with out the sub in (sub its a 15"fi btl) how big of a rectangular port do i need ? its this called port area ?? i had planned to have it 12.5wide x 5tall x 24 long... tuned to 33hz... does this sound rigth ?? please help me out...

    ok , so i should have said that my box isnt square, its actually a pentagon. it took me a min to get the area anyways, i got 733in^sq= 5.09ft^3 my port area can be H4.5x W12.5 X 22LONG ??? tuned to 33hz Yes ?... no? i just email fi an requested to change my sub from dual 1 to dual 2... hopefully its not to late

    hello everybody ! new to the site.. hoping toget lotsof help building my system... i have had a 05 f150 fx4 extendedcab for over a year , i currently have a jl audio 13tw5 powered by a jl audio500/1 v1 amp and a double din pioneer also a yellow top otima.... anyways i need more bass! but im lacking the space and i want to keep it daily driven, so im building a box in the center console i have arround 4.5cubes to play with... i decided to go with a 15" fi btl (ported duh) and a sundownaudio saz 2000d( already have them) i already did the big3... should i get a second battery in the back? i just found out Optima's sucks ! bigger alternator ?? i got 4ga wire rite now , will that be enough or should i go 1/0ga? im not sure it this is in the rigth section but oh well .... in a noob!!! help !!!

    yeah i just oreder some 0ga from knukonceptz.. what size would i need on my battery? got a link? i want to get a bigger amp later(sundown 3500d) should i just replace my optima with 2 XS batterys?? or keep it in the front and add a XS on the back?? also , do i need to run my ground (from the negative front battery) all the way to the back?? or can i ground my second battery at the cabin???.. NooD...
