    Lookie Lookie

How about if I told you the integrated tinsel leads are a farse and they are are more fragile than a standard arrangement? Nothing more than a misconception used as a selling point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would say that I concur, and have known that for quite some time. nG

    Split Coil vs XBL^2

One thing to remember.....anybody who uses XBL^2 likely has a NDA (non-disclosure agreement) with Adire and/or their buildhouse, and the company using it is not required to disclose/advertise their useage of XBL^2 if they do not want to. Which means.....there may be far more XBL^2 drivers on the market than you know about, simply because 1) Dan/Adire/the buildhouse cannot disclose who and what companies are using the technology, and 2) the company using the technology isn't promoting/advertising their useage of the technology. Dan has made mention many times in the past that there are far more XBL^2 drivers out on the market (car audio and home audio) than we realize. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well, that's what i was missing...lol.. but still yet, IMO, xbl^2 isn't all that's it's cracked up to be. on paper, maybe. but in real world, with real ears, it's not all that. i'm not trying to say any other topology is better, but IME, there are other very well built subs that can compete. like the man ramos has said...85% install, 10% equipment and 5% beer. the wrong install and xbl^2 falls flat just like everything else. but then again, what do i know??? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. Chop out the strongest parts of the motor FTW!!!! xbl^2 isn't the end all be all... it's... "okay"... a happy medium maybe... nG

    STUFF!! II

LAWL @ you cheap kids ... I did an Alpine HU, 4 CDT coaxials, US Acoustics 4channel amp, LI12, and JBL 600.1 in my EX's Jeep grand cherokee. I should probably go steal it back now... cuz she's a female dog... nG

    Rl-i 8's plus IS2200 = .....

When you do it, keep me posted... A guy on some board thinks it is physically impossible for UP TO 4 6.5's to hit a 140 @ 50hz or less... nG

got the sub, got the amp

Damn. If sealed, I go with .5ohm around 1-1.5 cubes NET. If ported, I'd go with 2ohms daily... and .5ohms for competition. nG

    Alright need mids....

Big difference between the XT25 and 19... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed there is. nGs
  21. ngsm13

    Alright need mids....

I mated my XXX6.5's with the custom XT25's from Ascendant. I've taken them down to 1.6kHz @24dB/oct... nG

    Alright need mids....

Weren't you the one always going on about how npdang is retarded and the XXX's sounded great crossed at 2khz ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nah, the absolute highest I'd take them and still sound unstressed is around 1.6kHz... Now having a correct match, and hearing it... personally I'll keep them @1.2kHz. nG
  23. ngsm13

    Alright need mids....

They're perfectly fine up to 1.2kHz @24dB/oct I used to have them up to 2kHz... and I can say that's not the best place to have them... I have a Kicker KX450.2 on my mids, and a Kicker KX200.2 on my tweets... nG

Yes Flakko. I'm 100% positive. I trust my EARS, and Aaron's EARS... Not some graph. nG
