Good call Jacob. I have sold a bunch that are running at .5 with no problems at all, but with the lack of expieriance oeople have out there, it is probably best not to cover it. But I know in a proper installation they work great at .5

but i have to ask because if you plan on going around "bumping" to bring attention to yourself then i'm required to call you a douchebag it's people like that who are making this hobby harder and harder to enjoy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am sure he will be responsible with it. He just wants to be able to do it, and I doubt he will actually go around trying to bring attention to himself.

Well I can't speak for every car out there, but in my mustang facing them forward and sealing everything off PROPERLY is the best way to go. Not only did I have ZERO trunk rattle, but it was clearly louder than facing them towards the rear. Facing them forward, and not sealing them off, was NOT as loud as facing them towards the rear. If you seal it all off properly I would still suggest facing them forward. But like Nick said, you HAVE to make sure you do a good job of sealing everything off.

I got it covered. I think the SAZ-1500d would be a great choice. Now that I know it can handle .5 ohms and I suggesting to every mag customer I get

At my last car show there were 4 12 inch type r's in a car, and I had 2 mag 12's in my car. Lets just say you can't even begin to compare the two. My mag 12's with only about 500rms to each sounded much cleaner than the 4 type R's. The Type R's were also sealed, and my sealed mags had a lot more output as well. The type R is decent for the price, but it is nothing compared to a MAG

I would suggest buying a mag 12 now and hooking it up to the hifonics amp. Put it in a nice ported enclosure and it will hit VERY hard. You can always upgrade later if you want it a little louder. But I have a feeling the output from a single mag 12 will be plenty for what you are looking for.

I have a deh-880prs on the way. It is only about $325 shipped depending on where you get it from. If you are looking for a really nice sounding HU that doesn't cost a lot, it may be a good one to look into.

They sent me a check for $110. Not sure how they got that amount, but it is nowhere near what the subs are worth. I may just need you to send them back to me, and then I can test them to see how they perform. I would of course send you the money to ship them back. Also, did you ever get your mags LOUD? Let me know. And I don't mean to hijack the thread. Fiberglass is always cool if you come up with a good design.

Sounds good. I can understand how you would want to stick with Nick. Also, if you can pick them up that avoids shipping charges. Glad to hear you have nothing against us.

I may be looking at different components. I guess for someone like myself who hasn't heard a ton of high end components, I will barely notice a difference between some of the much cheaper priced ones. Rainbow is one of my other options, but the Seas Reference ones are still a big possibility. So we will see how that all goes. And yes, a few years back that wiring kit did come from walmart haha. But I wrote to streetwires yesterday to see what I can get from them.

Special thanks to Ryan for the box! I still have a lot of work to do. But so far I have one mag 12 in and am giving it about 400rms at 4 ohms. I will eventually have 2 12's with 1000rms going to each of them. I have a US Amps MD2 to power the subs. Here are some pictures for you all to see. Here is the Pioneer HU I recently installed. I will be getting the deh-880prs and putting that in as well. And here are some pictures of the car in case you are wondering what it looks like. And yes, the steering wheel is upside down and it drives me crazy everytime I look at that picture. I will keep everyone updated on my progress. Ben

HAHA...Well the md2 will be at .5 ohms soon enough giving each mag atleast 1000rms. As far as front stage goes, right now I am leaning towards the seas lotus reference components. Let me know if you have any other good suggestions. Also, I would probably use a md22 from US amps to power it just to keep everything matching and looking clean. I just want to get everything soon so I can do something nice with the amps in the trunk. Also, leaning towards streetwire for all the wiring. Right now I just used some old wire I had around the house. That is unless Nick can get me some of his special Wire.

I am just curious. But what type of enclosure was the mag in and what type of enclosure was the Rl-p that you heard in? Also, what version of the mag was it and what amps were used?

I know there are a couple 15's floating around Michigan somewhere. If you can't find any to listen to let me know.

I believe I talked to a customer in the past about shipping mags to Norway. He mentioned a company out of New Jersey that would do it at a fairly resonable price. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I am sure either Nick or myself can help you out. Also. nice truck!
