i hear ya, i wasnt looking for a competition setup, just something that makes the music more enjoyable, i listen to the same type of music but mostly rap/hip-hop I did a lot of research and i came up with the BL instead of the Q... It sounds amazing and will be louder than the Q by a bit. I got 1 15" and it does the job. When i give a demo, let me tell you they are all in shock. I would say get a 12" or 15" BL with a box tuned to about 32-35 hz. As for AMPS: I would recommend the aq1200d, as thats what i have and have no problems with it at all. Comes with a bass knob controllin the gains as well as clippin indicator which has not gone of yet Im sure you will get plenty of opinions like audiopipe, sundown and what not, they all make great products i guess it just comes down to the power and money. BL with options can take about 1000 - 15000 RMS if done properly HEADUNIT: I love my alpine CDA-105. Its got plenty of controls and like i said my amp has not clipped even on good volume. once again you will get many different opinions. Go with Fi, and you will not be throwin the money out the window

hey guys, hope you all had a good weekend ! right now my BL is facing the rear and box is only out of .5 mdf because its all i had at the moment, but now im planing on puttin another layer on the sides,front and and top. Will that help with deepness and loudness? I know it stops the box from flexing a bit but dont know what that does for sound. as for the box facing rear, im planing on turning it around and hopefully sealing it off by putting two cut outs on the sides (one on each) going straight across. To fill in the gaps, is gorilla tape good ?

yeaa it seems to be holding up well, im just gotta face it and seal it off from the trunk

im happy with how it sounds just want to make it more sturdy. And wondering if it would change the sound. its a 15 for the record. I think i might need to make a new one but just had unexpected payments for the car

N1 is like a beefier BL ?

its a war theme because whenever someone hears a Fi, they think a bomb went off especially the new btls !

so which new BTL is the closest to the previous one ? excited to see them in action ! we want pics and vids

im also gonna try it facing inwards aswell as the port, the port size is much larger than my current box so im hoping for lots of air !

hey guys, i currently got a Fi 15" BL with an aq1200d, in a 3.3 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz, it is a crappy box made out of 0.50 mdf because i just wanted the system in lol. I know this sub can get much much louder. How does a box just under 4 cubes (3.78) tuned to 35hz sound to you guys ? also with gains down could this sub eventually maintain an aq2200d ? I would have gains set so its pushing about 1500rms thnx guys !!

yeah i understand the power, i dont blast it much and i understand it lowers the power handling. Its a loaded BL and only a aq1200d on it for the time being. In regards to the subsonic filter, im going to have it on 30hz to be safe, i know perfect is 2-3 under the hz of the box but i wanna be extra careful since its my baby lol

it should get a bit louder, i was just making sure it could handle 1500 or a bit more rms it seems like it wants more !

ok thank you very much! this is why im such a large supporter around my area could i ask a huge favour, the box deisign im doing is going to be a common chamber L port tuned to 32-33 hz. Its Height: 15" Width: 32" Depth: 18" can someone tell me what dimensions the L port should be and how much cubic feet it will be with the 2 12" inside. I dont trust the RE calculator you guys are awesome

I've decided on the 2 12" ssd's. Really excited for it! NOW..... the box Ive always wanted to try an aeroport so i can adjust tuning and uses less space. But heres the catch. I dont know what to do lol. The box dimensions im looking at are: Height: 15.5" Width: 31" Depth: 16" According to RE calculator (which i know is off a bit) is about 3.5 cubes with no port. With those dimensions above or similiar, what aeroport do i get!? where do i put it on the box? I want it to be tuned to 32-33 hz thnx guys !!!

hey everyone. I currently have a 1 15" BL, but im getting a new car in a bit, so im looking at getting 2 12" ssd. I had a debate between SSD or the HDC. I know a big!! difference but im running them off a aq1200d that i have now so i figured i wont be upgrading power in a while. And if i got a aq2200d do you think i would be safe with the 2 12" ssds still ? Im guessing the ssd would move more than hdc with only 600 rms on each? Do you think the 2 12" ssd will be louder than the 15 BL because of cone area? thnx guys, sorry if they are stupid questions lol

hey guys, im purchasing 2 12" Fi ssd Im looking at a ported box, I was just wondering if i need the divider in the middle of the box giving them their own little chamber? or can i just make one bigger port rather than 2 smaller ones ? also aeroport? Is it worth the try ?

D1 with 2 subs. ok so i order them both as d1 ? then i can wire to 1 ohm ? pushing 600+ rms each ?

im looking at just over 3 cubes (maybe bigger) with displacement tuned to 32-33 hz with L port. Stupid questions but common chamber. is that without the divider in the middle? How do u like that settup? I currently have a 15 BL but need more room height wise!

last thing, im ordering 2 12" ssd's. How to i wire them down to 1 ohm. Do i have to order them both in D2 ? or D1 ? i know for a single sub its D2. also for the ported box ! yeaaa im gonna make the order soon once i sell the 1 15" BL. Im only running it off of a aq1200d for now which is one of the main reasons not getting HDC's because they wouldnt move at all. I agree with the tuning, i love low so Fi is right in my happy zone lol I heard the new ssds are beasts anyway, and im sure they could handle a aq2200d someday soon hopefully! as long as im smart with the gains and what not
