This is a small build log of a powerwheels I'm doing for my soon to be 3 year old daughter. She loves my music and bass in my truck... found out MECA is does a kids section, so on with a build for her. first pic is her in the truck before anything was done except mocking on speaker hole. more pics will come as I finish pieces. waiting on a few more pieces.

I got it figured out finally. The switch diagrams were wrong. This little beast shakes my whole apartment.

Wiring in a switch

Mobile double post fail -
OK I got an LED rocker switch from O'reillys to turn h/u on and off on the powerwheels like an ignition. If I hook up the wire from my fuse block to the hot side and the load wire to either other post I get the led but no h/u. If I hook up all 3 posts (pos, load, neg) I blow a fuse as soon as I flip the switch. I don't know if running the red and yellow wire together causes to much draw, or if the ground isnt really a ground? But I'm confused and slightly annoyed...

Unless their led is flipped for off instead of on I doubt it... lol. -

Well the switch itself has a sticker that said from top to bottom pos, neg, load. But the package says pos, load, negative. -

got it all together finally after not having time for anything the last week or two... but now I have a problem in my wiring and cant keep a fuse for the h/u so guess rewiring over this next week. It's a little messy but finished it all around midnight so I didnt care to pick up...

your amp does 2k at 1ohm, and you have 4 4ohm subs? that wired in parallel would be 1 ohm. which means you'd see 500wrms to each. depending on if the amp does rated. and you are on the high end of their rated power. I'd go a little smaller on the enclusre personally. 33hz tuning would be fine. id go 12-14cubes at 32-35hz. what amp?

few more pics. I got the head unit in and the distributions block and ground block. debating to get the wood for the box today or this weekend. and the battery

thats what I'm doing. I can just burp with a 30a fuse on my 1.5k lol. but a couple seconds is all it takes.

http://www.audioque.com/AQ3500D1-Amplifier_p_32.html under 1000 the difference between the n2 and n3 is marginal. Being as this is a daily car, I'd run the n2 and not have to recone it or worry about the heat any time you wanna just drive. and lastly, on the alt, find a local alt repair shop and see if they can rebuild it bigger. my alt was 105amp, they took it (guy knew my dad so I got it done cheap) and it now runs 200amp. 105 at idle. paid 125 dollars I think and was out an alt for less than 24hrs.

They have a storage area behind the seat... the battery is going in the storage hole, and the box is going to be mounted to cover it so there is no way she can hit the battery posts, then a piece will be extended from the box and down to the seat to make up the back rest. sub will fire towards the windshield, ports will run on both sides of her along to "doors" to fire under the "dash" where the mic will be placed.

I cut the h/u hole. Ran speaker wire. Battery and dis block are here tomorrow. So hopefully I can get it to play music... lol. Then next weekend I'm building the box and wiring the amp in.

turn your ipod up

than his drawing is right... as long as all positive are linked and then all negative are lined the same way... but if he loses a wire as he hooks them up he could have cancellation. I lost one on my old set up and 2 15s sounded like a single 10...

ok, maybe I missed it, but what subs (brand, model, and VC) and amp are you using? It looks like you're running parallel. is it wired +to+to+to+ -to-to-to- make sure you didnt lose a wire between coils. its very easy for one wire to come off as you try to connect another in the coil.

Great idea's glad to see people with a game plan, but you're missing one essential number for us to help. BUDGET! lol I'm starting MECA this year too. Went to a bunch of Comps last year, but didnt compete. I'm running S1 with an AA Havoc 15, MB Quart 1500.1, and a 30amp fuse
