  1. Hey all.I got my system installed and have been bumping for about a week.Havent had any promblems at all except for when I play higher notes. When I play the higher notes I can smell my subs a little bit.I noticed this like the day I installed them so I have been staying away from songs with the higher notes because I really don't want to ruin my new subs.I have my gain set slightly less than half way and that is really all I have touched on my amp.I have a DC 5k amp and 4 10" DC lvl 3's with lvl 4 upgrades. My enclosure is tuned to 33hz and I have 2 100ah batts as reserve with a 250amp Singer alternator.I have a clipping indicator on my bass knob and I always make sure it never lights up and it doesn't,even on the high notes. So im a little confused.I can play the lower notes all day and have no problems.Even the real low notes.Im not sure exactly what hz the note is that does it I just know that I have never had this problem before and it sucks becasue I can't listen to half my songs. So what should I do?Do I need to set something on my amp or head unit or what?I have a Kenwood KDC x994.

If you guys need for info on my setup please let me know becasue I want to get this solved ASAP.Thanks

  2. He gave us a part number here ... That and Google is all you need Sir ...

Is it a dry cell, gell cell ?? what type of battery is it ?? If it is a regular battery "Sealed", it will give off fumes that might kill you Sir ...

I say do not use it (if you plan to use in inside your vehicle) until you have contacted the manufacturer on the condition and the contents of that battery ...

its a AGM battery is all I know and its made by alliance parts, part number A06-30097-011 or AE8A31

Also I didnt buy from a company I got it from a guy on another forum.

so did you google this? and if so what did you learn about this battery? sealed or not ?

point being that is the OP job to do and let us know, isn't there rules on this forum called noob posting guild, and don't those say something like do research and then ask based on what you find?

All the info I have posted came strait off the battery labels I read.It says on the label sealed lead acid battery. Here is a picture of it.

  3. so we are looking at the top of the battery? and there is no post? or did a little plastic cover just fall off? The only time when I wouldn't use a battery is if it was cracked!

that battery just looks like it is missing something to make it look pretty! and don't worry about fumes! no death ever!

Yes that is a pic of the top of the battery and it is indeed cracked. The crack is right below the negitive terminal post.I took the nut of the terminal so I could get a better pic.

Also, thank you for the link Cablguy184.I emailed customer support about it.

  5. Hey all qick update. I got everything I need except wire at the moment. I bought 3 9a31 batteries and the should be here soon. Ive been doing a little thinking and what if I did 1 run of 4/0 guage wire for the + and - ? Would that work ok or should I just do the 4 runs of 1/0 guage? Also, why exactly do I need to run negitive wire from the front battery to the back? Could i not hust do a couple of grounds in the back so I wouldnt have to run all the wire?

  6. Those superstarts look awfully similar to my old deka 9a31s, If they are the same they are a very solid battery, Had 4 of them in my old explorer last year. never saw below 14.7 volts. Only downfall is I think they were 80 lbs each, awesome looking build tuned in for sure!

OK cool. You mentioned that they looked similar to the deka's and I have also read on a couple other places that they are basically rebadged deka intimadators so that is why I am thinking of buying them

  7. Check it out!!!Got my subs and enclosure today :woot: Now just waiting till The 1st so I can buy batteries and wire.Getting Close to install time!!!!! :woot::woot:

  8. Thanks to rabbit for the awesome looking enclosure! My subs shipped out yesterday and will be here friday so im stoked to get both!!

As far as batts im probaly going to get a pair of d3100's and see how it goes with those.Im thinking of getting tsunami 1/0 wiring becasue i have used it before and really liked it.What do you guys think I should go with tsunami or something else?

  9. Chit mang! Clean pics for the win. Good grab on the DC Audio amp and alt! The h/u install looks tight as well.

I have to admit, I am not a big endorser of multiple batteries. What impedance are wiring up your 4 10"ers to the amp? This is a daily setup, right?

Yes this is a daily setup for the most part. I do plan on competing this summer when i can. I got dual 2ohm subs so i can wire them down to 1 ohm. Ive never had a setup this big so im still not sure how many batteries i need. I was thinking about a couple of xs d3100's or something similar. Also i was thinking instead of 2 runs of 1/0 guage i would do just a single run of like 2/0 welding wire or something.

  10. Hey all.Im starting to receive parts in the mail so I figured I would start a build log.It is my first shot at a build log so bear with me lol.

So my car is a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT.I will be using the following equipment.

    4 DC 10" Level 3 m2 Subs WIth Level 4 Upgrades

    1 DC 5K amp

1 Michael Singer 250Amp High Output Alternator

Kenwood Excelon KDC x994 Head Unit

    DC Creations Custom Enclosure

Still Trying To Decide On Which/How Many Batteries To Get

    Lots Of 1/0 Guage

    Stock Door Speakers For Now

I have the head unit installed but I didn't take any pics of the install because I wasn't planning on doing a build log lol.Ive got the amp and alternator also. Here are some pics of the car and equipment I have so far
