you email him? yeah i did, prett sure to recone the e8's i have to get the updated parts coming out for the new model...still gotta loook into it more STUZY, dbl baffle? Flush Mount? Port forward subs forward...sorry i keep missing your calls...
  2. Problem is......You can't do it on a budget. If you start off with a smaller system and you make mistakes( which you will being your first one) then they are cheaper fixes. Also when you plan TOO BIG on the first one and you skimp on the necessary small things, then it will not be what you want in the end. TAKE THE ADVICE, START SMALLER....A BL on 1000 watts sounds great and it is a way above average system!

STU!!!!!!!!!!!! What are all of your max dimensions and I will get started on a design.
  4. Yeah The Box is not for me...It is for two AA mayhems so im thinking double baffle and probably some dowel bracing... the reason for the dimension check was I made a Box calculator in Excel and wanted to check it for accuracy for future box designs. Thank you very much for checking it for me.
  5. Wood Thickness 0.75 Height 30 Width 38.5 Depth 15 Sub Displacement 0.42 Port Height 28.5 Port Width 3 Tuning Frequency 32 Port Length 29 3/16 I get Around 6 Cubes at around 32 hz, after sub and port displacement...i just want to be sure they are correct. thanks.

    Enclosure Calculations

When Calculating port length, How can you enter the box volume after port displacement, without knowing what the port length will be. Or do you put in what you want your box to be after the displacements and then design a box that takes this into account. For example, if you want a box to be 4.5 cuft. after displacements you would use this to calculate the port length. Then after you have that you would calculate the port displacement lets say is .5 , SO you would do .5 + 4.5 to get 5 cuft., then design a box that is five cuft before port displacement and use the port length that was calculated to get the desired tuning? If someone needs further explanation please ask. Thanks.

Box for my new SSD 15

What are the dimensions....doesn't look like 3.5 cubes, especially after port and sub displacement.

    Kerf Question

This is what im looking for....now just to clear it up....if i have a front piece that is supposed to be 25" long, a port piece that needs to be 20, and the kerf will add 4.71 inches, the strait board i need to cut for this will be 25+20+4.71=49.71" correct? or am i off track?

    Kerf Question

when using sketchup is there a way to enter the length of the arc you want to use...i can draw arcs but im not sure how long they are or how to tell how long the straight piece of wood would be before kerfing.
