  1. Ok so I am really good at buying stuff and then finding out it isn't as great as I expected.. and then have to sell and re-buy something better... SO Please help me get the right amp the first time! The SA-10s are rated at 600rms each, Im sticking 4 in my hatchback and want to get a good amp to meet them. They are d2 and will wire down to 1ohm! I have seen people stick a SAZ-2000 or AQ 2200 on 2 SA-10s... But I want to know if they can seriously handle that much? I mean 600x4=2,400w but if they can HONESTLY handle more I will try to find a way to get a more powerful amp.. YOU guys have used these and know what they throw down, I have never used any sundown sub before and I hear they are tanks! Do I just need a AQ2200 or like saz 2500... OR are these honestly like AQ/SAZ-3500 kinda subs? I am not stuck on any name brands as long as you list ones that put out TRUE RATED POWER.. I know I can find AQ 2200's used in my price range and things similar but if these subs handle 3k-4k if built and tuned correctly I can save up and get the perfect amp. Id really rather pay for the best thing the first time. Im looking to buy a used amp most likely as my budget is probably maxed out at around $400.. would like to stick are $300 if possible! so $3-450ish please. Thanks as always for answering ever dumb question I have. -Jordan
  2. Ok sweet! I'll check into that as well!
  3. Also I like to buy amps with a little more power so that I dont abuse the amp too hard. I dont like running them at their limit for long periods of time. Im not sure I can really afford to have much headroom this time though. Sorry if I sounded completely unknowledgable. I think I basically mis-worded my question haha.
  4. Yes, I know that, and I was just restating why I had originially asked it
  5. I understand for the most part, I have just never seen sundowns line in person and dont know how they react. I mostly meant if they are WAY underrated and are meant to play 7-800. I prefer buying an amp that has more power in case I ever upgrade but was wondering if these subs could handle more because then I would look more at AQ 3500 and Sundown 3000/3500 amps. If not then I would stick with 2-2.5k
  6. Oh yeah I'll have to check the prices on IA!
  7. Do the SAZ-2500 put out more than rated? I know the 1500 can put out between 1600-1800 with the right alt/batts
  8. I'll def. check that out! I wasnt sure if I could afford a saz-2500 or not but I know they are awesome im sure. I loved my sax-1200d! I would love to get the saz-2500 if i can afford it. But if not I want to get the AQ 2200 most likely. Ill read through those on my break @ work in a lil while
  9. Oh ok haha I was just like what.. But yeah examples are good. I am also on my phone 4 now
  10. It looks like if I did 3 3" ports the would each need to be about 11.92" long.
  11. Man my head hurts lol... Well I know my box will probably be 4.5 after displacement so I typed it all in but idk if it is right
  12. Wait how come both results you listed above are diff. One says 1 port and one says 4 ports are needed
  13. Ok so if I have a box of 4ft^3 tuned to 30hz and I just want on aero port, I would have a 4" aero with the length of 6.48" because that seems way simple
  14. Is the xmax, the total of the 3 subs combined?
  15. Nvm I think I got it kinda rofl obv i need both parts of that site
  16. The bottom or top portion of that web page?
  17. Or were you saying 10" is a set # needed for ever box?
  18. Oh, how do you figure out how many aeros or how large of one I need and then the length? The box is appox. 29x19x19 which is like 5.05ft^3 plus 3 SA-10s.. So some displacement for each... Is there a formula or something to figure out total width of the aero or aeros and then the lengths of each?
  19. When using a port like these, if it says for example that I need 20" port like for a tube with the diameter of 4" would the tube really only need to be 5" then? because the diameter if 4 and 4x5 = 20" or does the length need to actually 20" long of a 4" tube/pipe/aero port?..
  20. Basically I will build a box that is 30x19x19 with 3 10" subs in the top side ( 30" side) and I figure I could put the port on one of the ends of the box ( like left side or something ) and basically if the volume is say 5ft^3 12volt's calc says to type in my boxes volume.. then type in the tuning I want which would be either 30 or 32 most likely.. then the diameter of my tubing.. ex: 4" diam. and then it will calc like idk 20" or something for example.. So all I have to do is cut the port to Ex** 20" long and then mount the aero into the box?
  21. Is there a certain place in the box it has to be placed? Can it be placed on basically any side as long as it isnt so long that its right up against the other side of the box? I figure you have to have a few inches of clearance behind the back of the aero port and the mdf back of the box

  23. Quick question... What would 6 dual 2 ohm subs wire down to? For example... If I got 6 SA-8s d2 what ohm would they wire to.. Lowest ohm together or all possibilities.

    Sub wiring ohm outcome...

If I had a 1500d sundown I could have ran then at .7 though
