The Sundowns remote is a remote gain so yes, you could turn it down at the remote.

if they are strapped you want to have the slave gain all the way down and have the master control everything as it should being that its the master

Before anyone starts going nuts, this is still pre-production. This most recent version of this model (as I mentioned in the past we approached this segment a few years ago and we are just now coming back to it), seems to really be a big time winner so far.

Super secret sub ?!!!
I think I huessed it right, the first time !!!
Nice !
I need to listen to one. Some people love monster subs like that in my country !!! But it might be to heavy for my car !
How do you like the Zcon ?
What did you have before to make a comparison ?
I have had alot of subs in the past. Most recently I have had an 18" btl an18" mayhem and now I have psi subs.
Compared to what I have had the Zcon is amazing! I am not gonna say the Zcon shits on what I have had (FI and AA subs are badass also) but it sounds amazing it moves mad air, very well built. What I wad most impressed with was how it sounded. The bass rolled off smooth the lows were just banging!!! Overall it's a beast and a great sub. Also comes with some bad ass customer service as we all know.
If your looking for a new sub something not alot of people have and will fit your budget, Zcon is what you want

Thats the kind of present that I would love to find under the tree.
I know right......when the UPS guy pulled i was more excited to see him then when i was a kid waiting for santa!

To have enough of an amp to push 2 ICONS he will probly need 1/0 power cable, and if he was to go with a deal on a Sundown 1500 he could run a 1/0 cable!
you would be surprised at what I have seen with people using 4 gauge in a 0 gauge amp...... lol so I was asking to get a better idea.... besides he is gunna need around 2k so 1/0 is pretty much required!

but as far as an option...I ran the hifonics BRZ2100 on my btl and it did GREAT! Its CEA rated and sounds really good. A lot of people dont like Hifonics and I got rid of mine because I wanted to higher quality amp but in my opinion for the money you cant beat it...

thats a bad ass amp right there man, you should grab it if I were you
Give us your goals, budget for amp and final ohm load you plan on using for starters and any more information to make this effective.
budget is probly about 500 dollars right now. final ohm load is just 1 ohm i believe and i eventually will upgrade electrical if needed
What kind of power do you have right now? What kind of wire do you currently have ran? we need to know this so that we can make sure that we dont recommend an amp that is 0 gauge when you only have 4 ran through the car.

a little warning about the circuit breakers, once they click once they'll never be as accurate as the first time.

Heres my opinion: Jl audio is mass produced and although the research is there there speakers are JUST AHHHH AHHH AHHH no SQ at all.
Really, you couldn't be more wrong. The W7 was basically the first low distortion, high linearity, high output driver in the market. The entire purpose of it's design was to improve BL linearity and reduce distortion while also improving output capabilities by increasing cone area and maintaining a high Xmax (which aside from shear output, the benefits of high displacement capabilities are also a benefit from a "sound quality" perspective as well). Really, it's pretty telling that the design is nearly a decade old now and it's still in the top tier of high performance offerings on the market.
You might say "Nonsense! I've heard the subs in my brother's Dakota and it didn't sound good at all!".....and that very well might be the case. But that's not a fault of the driver. Chances are, it was probably a fault of the installation, enclosure, tuning and/or setup and settings. Which makes your listening experience rather meaningless as a point of comparison. Of course it's possible (but unlikely) that the setup, installation and tuning was perfect in your brothers setup. It's also possible (and more likely), that you simply don't enjoy the sound of a lower distortion, linear driver. Your subjective definition of "good sound" might simply be different than what the W7 offers. But that's a difference in subjective preference, not a difference or deficit in "sound quality". But again, since this is based completely on subjective opinion, it's rather meaningless as a point of comparison.
Underground companys(not mainstream) are in this for what it is the LOVE of the sport or hobby/I would find it hard to believe someone could spend the time, thought and expense to design a driver like the W7 with all of it's unique and innovative features without being in love with audio. It pushed the envelope of performance and innovation a decade ago, and is still holding it's own a decade later.
Also, keep in mind JL Audio got it's start as a mail order speaker business. They were essentially the equivalent of today's "underground" (internet) brands. They just happened to do it extremely well and as a result have grown and experienced a lot of success over time.
I would suggest the XCON because the money is going to be put to a better use like supporting a company that is trying to GROWThat really doesn't make any sense. Every business is trying to grow ?
and make a way better PRODUCT then mainstreamI would say JL took that idea to a new level when they designed and released the W7.
