    FI BTL specs clarification

Ok i have decided that i cant afford the eletrical costs for the aq 3500d.1 amp so im going toward the aq 2200 with two of the Hdc3 18 woofers

    FI BTL specs clarification

I like the confidence! Here's a break down for you.. You need an High Output alternator from https://www.dcpowerinc.com/ You need batterie(s) from http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/categories/Batteries-%26-Electrical/ An alternator will charge your rides eletrical system once your car is started. With the equipment you are buying you will need a big alternator, see if they have a 270XP alternator for your ride. You will need big powerful batterie(s) this is just as important as the alternator. The batterie(s) will help your alternator out when there is a lot of quick/long current draw (like bass notes). If you don't have the big batterie(s) along with the alternator your alternator will get over stressed and will die very shortly. You should upgrade the batt under your hood and add another battery as well. First, buy the alternator from DC.. not some shitty ass local company. Then buy the most biggest/power battery that will fit in your stock batt location. Then get a stinger volt meter, and hook it up (easy as fuck) and watch your voltage for a couple days and if you drop into the 12's a lot get a XS D3100 secondary battery. OK sweet dude thanks aton, yeah im not startin out with no wimpy system, not saying 1 FI BTL 18 is wimpy or anything... haha but I will check all of this out right now will reply when i have more questions? should i start a new thread or continue on this?

Haha yes ok and the only thing that is confusing to me is the electrical system I want to start big and i will not mess this up. Btw i will post alot of the building process if anyone wants to see

Thanks for the site its very helpful Alittle confusing but if i spend enough time on it I should be able to figure it out

Ok thankyou alot for all the feedback does anyone know a good site for leaening about how to replace my electrical system to support this kinda of amp?

    FI BTL specs clarification

Ok thanks everyone will be researching alot more, but i think im getting pretty close to buying the parts for my system. So far im thinking 2 FI BTL N18's, 1 AQ3500d.1 match up real nice.

Haaha you know this through experience, or is their some hidden meaning im missing?

    FI BTL specs clarification

Ok yes The AQ3500D.1 specs say that it takes 1 ohm power @ 14.4V @ < 1% THD 4300W x 1 im not sure if the 4300w is RMS or peak anyone knoww?
  9. 200dBs

    FI BTL specs clarification

Yes you are correct. amp makes 4300watts at 1ohm. Wire two dual 1ohm drivers according to the below chart for a final load of 1ohm at the amp 4300watts / 2 = 2150watts per driver. ok thanks and Audioque rates all their amps at RMS wattage output im assuming? how do i find this out

    FI BTL specs clarification

First of all, the kicker mono amps are not 1 ohm stable, which is why they rate their amps at 2 ohms. Second, if you did have 2 subs running off one amp, the power produced from that amp would be evenly distributed to each woofer. So in this case each btl would see approximately 1200 watts at 2 ohms (not taking into account impedance rise and other factors). If i were you, i wouldn't jump into this big of a system right away, maybe start smaller and learn more about what kind of things go into a system like this. Just my opinion though, not saying that it's law or anything. haha thanks thor mind checking out the post above yours. New amp listed

    FI BTL specs clarification

ok yeah im NOOB at speaker and wiring and all that right now, trying to get better slowly... And yeah say i bought AQ3500D.1 it says it has 1 ohm power @ 14.4V @ < 1% THD 4300W x 1. Say i wire the two FI BTL N2's(dual 1 Ohm) in series and parallel to get a 1 ohm final load. The amp would supply 2150 watts to each BTL, RMS im assuming.

    FI BTL specs clarification

Ok So i want two FI BTL N218's and say i power them with a kicker ZX2500.1 (2500 @ 2 Ohms) If i wired the two FI BTL's(Dual 1 Ohm) in series/parallel they would have a total of 1 ohm of resistance and at 1 ohm the amp will have a power rating of 5000 so will each BTL get 5000 watts at 1 ohm? or will each BTL get 2500 watts at 1 ohm?

Big hydrolics is..... ill erase that one

    FI BTL specs clarification

OH ok so i was mixing this stuff up the speakers just accept the power(which i knew). Say i gave the have an amp rated at 2500RMS watts at 2 ohms, and i wire the FI BTL dual 1 ohm in series so the speaker will get 5000RMS watts. And if i wire the FI BTL dual 2 ohm to the same amp in series it will get 2500RMS watts.

    FI BTL specs clarification

hmm ok so i wire the amp at 1 ohm and the dual 1 ohm BTL will get 2000w RMS, and i wire the amp at 1 ohm for the dual 2 ohm BTL and i get 4000w RMS?
