LOL it really isn't about what I want. Although if you get the X it will save you alot of money and keep you on budget. 15" X and that US Amps Xterminator I link'd. Bam. those 2 together will give me a good system? Yes, amp and sub wise, but with just those, have fun free-airing. You need a good custom built enclosure if you want the best out of your system. If you don't have the skill or tools, contact argent audio. Sealed or Ported? By the way, Andrew is right about crap getting stolen. It happens, you think it won't but it will. Go blaring your system everywhere "turning head's" trust me, it will get stolen. You never know what kind of people you are making turn their head. Could be someone who will be selling your system in a pawn shop the next week. Good Luck Ported.

I prefer Kenwood. alright man, im trusting you. ha shit better be going hammer. lol

So if i go with the 15" X is it a good sub that i can use everyday and can hit? Or should i just go for a ssd 18"? Every sub will hit and every sub will play everyday. I mean unless there's a sub that only plays on mondays. 15" 4.0 @ 32hz put about 300 watts on it, your good. With the little information you gave us of your goals, then noone can really get to specific. Goals would just be have people turn there heads when i drive by and to impress some of my friends when there just sitting in the car. No offense but this really shouldn't be your main goal unless you like dealing with the insurance company when your ride gets stripped... Thats not going to happen. -___- I just want a good quality sub that hits. Ive sat in my friends car and he has 2 12" Kicker CVR's and those really impressed me with there sound and how clear it was. Thats what i want out of mine. If you think 2 12" CVRs sound clean you're gonna cry with excitement when you hear this sub. If it's in a good box of course. Im gonna with a Fi 15" in there? lol

So an 15" would do better with size or should i go straight for the 18"? and how much does building a box cost? estimate? A 15" will require much less enclosure size therefore cheaper and saves space. Building the box yourself will save you a ton of $$$ but requires patience and the necessary tools. Okay. I know some of my friends who are good with audio that could help me build it. And you said the Audiopipe 1000watt will do me good with these subs? I personally recommend something more along these lines US Amps Xterminator But the AP would also do well. 500 watts will be enough for a 15? Plenty enough. The sub is only 300rms. Alright, so a ssd 15", and that ^^^ amp should do me good?

So if i go with the 15" X is it a good sub that i can use everyday and can hit? Or should i just go for a ssd 18"? There will be an extreme difference btwn the two. lol 15" X will sound great, and keep your budget happy. 18" SSD will also sound great but will have more output. However it will exceed your budget for sure. Sounds like the 15" X is for me. Is this a sub that will make head turns and hit hard? and what does BP power mean where it says configure the speaker?

For a budget, I'm looking at about $400-450. I have a Mercury Mountaineer.

Im new to the sub game. Looking for a pretty inexpensive setup that i can play everyday and that hits hard. I was looking at Fi's products and maybe just 1 ssd 15" would be nice or should i get 2 12" or just 1 18" could do what i want. Should i just forget about the 18" because of the cost of a ported box and amp and head unit would be alot? I just basically need help on which subs to pick, amp, and head unit that would be inexpensive. Thanks.
