I was looking for an alternative to the other forums... And of course looking for Sundown Audio! I found both...

I paid RAM Designs to design a box for me. Well worth it IMO, I didn't have a clue!

Shouldn't be a problem, I have the proper glue, screws, and most importantly... ability to get it done properly. I just got lazy and didn't want to build the box for under my seat. PS: I ordered my FI X a few days ago! Can't wait to get it here!

The box is actually .95ft^3... just realized that... and I definitely want an FI X, so I will just cut the one end off and shorten the box by about 10" to get it down to .68 ft^3. I have plenty of MDF left from my non daily ported box build to use on this one!

I have a "B-stock" SA-12 I bought a few weeks ago and when I looked at it I couldn't figure out why it was even B-stock. Best I can tell is a little smidge of glue on the cone, which isn't even visible from 1.5ft away and maybe the "Sundown Audio" text on the dust cap is a little light, but again you can't even tell without studying the thing. Anyone interested in Bstock items should have no reservations about purchasing! And I think I might take one of those 1500s off your hands in a day or 2!

Will the 10" FI X be ok in about .80ft^3, or is that too large for sealed? I bought a prefabbed subthump box for another sub and have decided I would rather use the FI X. This is going under the rear seat of my CC Sierra. I don't mind cutting an end off the box and closing the box up a little bit if necessary! Or would I be better off opening up the sub hole and putting an FI X 12" instead? I only have 6.5" of mount depth before the magnet touches the bottom of the box. Thoughts or opinions on this?

I think the best LOGO is the last one, #8. Take the words off of it though, just the broken triangle with the P inside it. I think if you looked at that, but in different color settings, not grey, you might see something you like!?

Here are a few updated pictures with the interior all back together. The amp hit the seat brackets at first so I had to raise it about 1", no big deal. 40 split folded up... fits absolutely perfect with plenty of room for the front passenger! Plenty of leg room... 60 split folded down. Looks like I can carry 4 comfortably all day with this setup!

This sub just continues to impress me! I am at the point where I want to buy a Sundown 1200 for this thing to allow it to reach it's full potential! I realize 600 watts is the warranty thresh hold, but what can you put to this thing daily.

I will keep an eye out... If nothing pops up in the next few months I will just buy a new one. You guys have earned my business! I love my SA-12 so much, hell I think my girl even likes it!

Usually they only list "USED" items if they are available.. I guess it does no harm to ask but the first post is apparently what they have for sale, which might mean they do not have a SAX-1200d laying around to be sold.. but maybe you'll luck out and someone at sundown just ain't using one they have... GL Figured I'd throw it out there in case one shows up! haha

I may be interested in a used/refurb SAE-1000D or SAX-1200D... Would the 1200 be better for my ported SA-12? Love the SA-12!!!

Yeah I am going to do that in the next week or so when I have time. The seats will all go back in as well. Thanks for the compliments, I am real happy with the way it came out, especially since my buddy and I had never done an install anything like this, actually was his first stereo install/box build and I gotta say he did an awesome job building the box exactly to the specs we were provided.

The gain is not even halfway right now. I have no intentions of raising it as I simply don't think I need it any louder than it currently gets. My plan is to eventually get a Sundown Amp... but for now this will have to do. I gotta get my race car back together before I put any more money into this truck. Amp Mounted... Factory Nav... I love this way too much to give it up for an aftermarket DD. Thing is a Beast!
