    ssa gcon

I think you are right he is low on port area. Hard to fix now that the box is built. I was talking about because he has around 15 sq inches of port per cube so a lot of people assume that will be real peaky. the box models out to have a peak, but nothing noticeable by ear, it does have the steep drop off on the low end, but with the subsonic filter, it should boost those frequencies. so it if he notices any difference in frequencies, i would say its because of the acoustics of the vehicle.

They probably said it would be peaky based off how much port area you have.

    Bed cut help

I need some tips on doing a bed cut. This guy has 3 digital design 1500 12s. I cant remember the year or model but its a dodge single cab. The diminsions i got were 15" tall, 40" wide, and around 40" deep. He has them on a kicker zx 1000.1. I just need some tips on how i should go about doing this, since i have never done one before.

    Bed cut help

I do have access to someone who has done and few and he will probably be cutting it. I think im more worried about the need to possibly brace the metal around the cut.

Sa 8 ported am I on right track

I just designed a box for an sa 8 for fun and it is about the same size as the box I designed for a Dcon 10, so I would just go with a 10. and I would use more port area, the box I designed, I used something like 17 square inches of port but also using less than half the power you are using.

  11. This helped a lot. There was a few tools i couldnt find and i didnt realize there was another toolbar until i watched your video.
  12. i doubt it will make that much of a difference to me. i will probably go with something like the jvc nt300. it has what i want and i can get it online for around $500, which is way better price for me with me trying to save money for my next set up. also, i might be able to get the jvc at dealer pricing and save a little more.
  13. I have a 2008 dodge caliber and I would like to put a double din in it. I could use some help on getting some head units to choose from. I plan on spending between $300-600, more if needed. I'm looking for a head unit that has 3 sets of pre outs, usb, good eq(more than just a 3 band eq), time alignment would be nice (just incase if I ever decide to mess with all that). navigation and bluetooth is all optional but wouldnt hurt. I also have the zed ra, if that makes any difference. one that I have looked at is the Pioneer AVH-P3400BH for $300. Any suggestions and experience on some would be much appreciated.
  14. Also the nt700 and nt300. Basically the same as the 800 and 500
  15. i did find out that jvc also has head units out now that have time alignment. the nt800hdt and nt500hdt http://mobile.jvc.com/product.jsp?modelId=MODL029030&pathId=126&page=2
  16. It looks pretty sweet. Right now all im running is two kicker ks 6x9s on a soundstream amp. After i get a new headunit im gonna start saving for a new front stage.
  17. sweet, ill take a look at that as well. Thanks.
  18. Cool man, thanks. Ill take a look at it.
  19. Yes they do. I have a single din in there right now but its starting to crap out on me and I would like to have a double din in there.

    Another bloody calculator

That's the entire reason for the vent mach page... Otherwise the ported page would have to ask all the same questions. true, i just messed around with it until it showed an area around the size of my port. This calculator is awesome, I will be using it a lot.
  21. I want 3 sets of pre outs in case if one day I decide to use a 4 channel amp on my mids/highs. I was kind of wanting the ability to go active one day if i chose to but i dont really care about it.

    Another bloody calculator

That's the entire reason for the vent mach page... Otherwise the ported page would have to ask all the same questions. I was talking about if I was just wanting to plug in measurements from an existing box that i have to see what the vent mach would be.
  23. I was wondering that since i could not find one.

    Another bloody calculator

would be nice if it also showed you what the port mach would be of the port size and tuning you choose on the ported enclosure setup or have an added calculator for that.

    Power loss?

Wow. Umm, like everyone has said, go read some stuff first. Once the amp is bridged you should never connect another speaker to the other terminal.
