I just got back from riding around in it, and unless he was at almost full steering lock it never rubbed. It is very very close just about everywhere though.

yep, much much better. It was brought up on another forum, the rims do not actually rub. It is just the angle of the picture making it look as close as it does.

Well, Tony(my friend) stopped by the house today to talk about doing a new setup moving the wall forward and going to the AQ 2.5 instead. He also wanted to show me how the truck currently looks........ with new rims.. He tossed on some new 30's

In a situation like that I normally run a higher load daily and at a show I run .5 ohm. Which means I run 1 ohm to two amps strapped which lets each amp see .5. However, you have to have the electrical to back it up, and in some applications amps just don't like it. From a safer stand point a single 1 ohm amp would work just as well.

This is what we do unless we install more then one.

We have not put it on the meter yet. It was not built with numbers in mind though. Just meant to work and sound good daily.

He was involved in a very tragic car accident years ago where he nearly died himself. So the bulk of his funds come from there from what I understand.

After some talks it would appear that he wants to jump up to the AQ 2.5 series and do a B pillar wall. So back to the drawing board for another version of a 24 10" enclosure lol.

Well, just spoke with the owner. While a truck that looks to be breathing is enough for most...he is contemplating going bigger already.

Plexi prices are all over place right now. Largely do to oil pricing. If you get lucky you will catch it on a downward part of the incline and snag some cheaper then normal. Depending on the size though, shipping can get pretty stupid on 3/4" or thicker pieces.

If he wants 1.3/4(ish) then I would hope he has D2s or D1s.

Here are the specs of the old Soundstream Lil Wonder (last page) The little wonder was not a cheater amp though, it was a marketing gimmick that was massively successful. I know. This thread make me think of it though. IIRC Soundstream did it in part to poke fun at the cheater amps that were around at the time. Not many cheater style amps around now since there's really not much point. Zuki is the only one to really come to mind, and he doesn't have much point behind doing it other than marketing. USACi still uses power classes and there are still several amps that are "cheater" style, but nothing like there used to be. The last one I can think of was the Atomic amps that placed larger power amps in smaller chassis for their competitors. Also the Clif Designs CDX-20A.

That was common back then. Similar to Orion and the HCCA line as well as many other companies. While some still exist, it is much less prevalent now then it used to be.

Here is a horrible picture of when we were testing out the dual alt setup to make sure it was working correctly. I will have to snap a finalized install pic later on though. The only thing that change is some of the wiring I think.

I will see if I can track some down of the actual install, it was done over a wide range of time and I'm not sure how many pics were actually taken. As for the sound, it has a very clean and clear sound. It is pretty loud I guess too..lol I will try and get more pics when I have truck at the house again though.

It's funny you mentioned that. His original idea was to use 32 10s lol.
