The lack of performance from the sub stage sounds like the enclosure is not designed around your goals and the application.
To be honest, that is the number one thing I hear at my shop on a daily basis. We see people come in from "other shops" with decent product, but a prefab box and they are not happy with the output or sound.

Remember that as you increase the size of the driver the enclousre requirements go up as well. This also means that the price for an enclosure goes up as more material is needed and if you have one built shipping will start to chip away rather quickly with larger enclosures.
A single 12 or dual 12 setup would be ideal for your situation.

That is subject to the install, enclosure, and amplifier.
Also, a dual 12" enclosure will cost more then a single 12" enclosure thus upping your overall budget again.

Save up a tad more and do a custom enclosure and the SSA Xcon 12"
Should leave around $140-150 or so..then add a little bit and snag an amp.

Why not just ask in the same thread you already created?

We officially will not be going...
Repairs on the FJ are taking longer then we thought.

Wish we could be, I just don't think we will get that roof done in time... we are going to try though.

Well we got ride of all the silver on the outside and inside of the FJ...Went from this...To this..Then started to mold his new stereo in... new alpine 8" screen...Then for some odd reason we were looking around on top of the roof.....and found this

With that space limitation you would only have ~4.7ft^3 of gross volume.
Which means you MAY be able to do a sealed enclosure, but I'm not sure on those exact subs and what they need for a sealed enclosure.

Had the FJ out at a local show yesterday....another small clip

Thanks guys. We have been hiring new staff monthly recently to help keep up with online orders. I am hoping by the end of this month, extended times will be a thing of the past.

Well we had some set backs that needed some attention as it always seems to happen that way, but he is waiting to build up some funds after buying those 32's...he says he is "below my comfort zone" lol....
His truck is built to demo and yes, of course get attention. That is main and only goal for the most part. Metering is just a secondary thing, but he has been wanting to get that 160 mark for the past month or so now...so I think that is his next big goal.

Very true. I try to guide our guys to what ever goal it is they want to achieve...
Last I spoke to Tony he was interested in getting to the 160 mark...then making it all "pretty" and looking to get into some magazines and such.
I'm just happy that is happy with everything we do for him.

Do you need a ladder to get out?
No, but you need one to get in!!
I would love to see those tires being mounted on those rims.
The rims and tires both came in on Thursday..couldn't be put on the truck till yesterday because of how difficult it was lol

Stop worrying about the response curve on winISD lol... You should know by know it is only a very rough guide at best. Not mention the idea behind the response curve will change as your power and wants/needs change.
