I got one more question. Was there any reason why you choose to do a vent ring instead of vent holes in the basket? But I guess you could always drill holes to create vents. Or have them machined.

This is the SA-8 v.2 -- the X-8 is an even more dramatic design. $185 is the estimated MAP price... not bad, IMO! I know these wasn't the same sub as the X, give me some credit now. Lol. I was just asking, thought you might of put the X on hold to build this. Also, meant this should surfice(not as the X but in general), as it looks like one bad mother.
-
Is there still going to be a X? As if this perform as it looks, it should be good enough. Lol. Also, did you ever say a estimated price? If not, got any round abouts? Like say, no more than $350.(As an example.)

amp for my front stage

If I recall, the IA is a Class D, while the Sundown is a class AB. So... Just saying, nothing more. But I'm going to say that's one reason for the size difference. You also have to consider Sundown's crossover, which is rather large and takes up a pretty good bit of the casing. -

Maybe you missunderstood what I meant. Take a 4channel with 100RMS per and 400RMS overall at 4ohms bridged. What purpose would it serve instead of a 200RMS per 2 channel at 4ohms? -

Well, in that instant, the company is just giving team prices to anyone that meets a small list of requirements. And then people automatically assume they are on the team, when that's not always the case. Which at one point, mostly back in the day, a lot of companies gave discounts to competitors regardless if they was on the team or not. But now, with internet prices being so cheap, its almost like everybody can get a deal. So it doesn't matter as much. I mean having a big group of people running a smaller, just really beginning to grow, company's equipment can be a good thing. Instead of spending money on advertisements, they sell product for a discount in hope it will achieve the same goal.

Why not a big 2 channel instead of bridging a smaller 4 channel? Crescendo has a big 2 channel, if you wanted to go that route. Also, why do you need so much power? -
There is already a sub made by AA that compariable to the DC level 6. And they are half the price of the DC also.

Every time JL is mentioned, being overpriced isn't far behind it. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. There's a lot in today's World that is way overpriced but yet rarely stops people from buying it.

Yeah, trying to stop the spread of something to help save lives sounds terrible. Why would anybody want to do that?
-
This. I was going to same something very similar. Also, another point I want to make is, you can't really listen to anybody, even if its the people trying to open your mind. One reason being, they are so high strung trying to prove their points, they lose sight of being openminded to anything else.

Mehhhhhh.

Didn't you come on here a few months ago and post a couple of times and that's it, until now? Hopefully your back for good now though. If not, ban? Lol. I kid kid. Welcome Back though.

Hell, I know a few companies who have a 10-15 day build time and yet they don't even build anything in house. For the most part, its not going to be an exact build time each order. Even in the beginning(06-07), it took about 15 business days for a product to delivered to the East Coast. So not a lot of change, even though their business has probably more than doubled, and doing a whole lot more in house, doesn't seem bad at all.

Interesting to see what's in store. I can only imagine.

Heavy? Compared to what? IIRC, the Chaos is right around 30lbs, which is in the "middle" weight class, I suppose you can say.

will my dcon sound beter over time
ford302redneck replied to spljim's topic in Sound Solutions Audio (SSA®)
What do you mean "sound better"? Regardless, it's not going to change drastically over time. Also, for the most part, bass will sound the same regardless what reproduces it. Really, if I had to say, it sounds like you had your expectations a little to high. -

I'm for the cost less. Is it possible to get a PM on the different unit options, and prices? -

I feel ignored. But I guess it should answer my question. But I seen a TeamSSA member have exactly what I'm looking for, just not the right case. Well, isn't there a T mount for that case?i Sorry, missed your post scanning over this thread! Pretty sure there is a Mitsu drive end, if it's right for this I will build this unit for you. Its cool. Lol. How do I find out about details and pricing? I hoped giving up on idle it will drop price a little bit, because I rarely listen to music idling. And if I do, that's why I have idle rpm controller. Plus, I will have a stock alt also, which should help on idle. -

What's the point of having a sticker? Definitely if you don't compete or go to events to help promote the product. Because in the end, Teams are formed to help promote product and show its potential in a respectable install. But for the most part, people on certain "Teams" are only because they get a product at a great discount, and not entirely because its the best for their install. Also you have to look at it from the manufactures point of view. If your allowed on a Team, whatever you do reflects them. So if you make a mistake, it could hurt the whole company's reputation. If you want to be on a "Team", go make your own with your friends. That's really the best advise I can give.

There is a "special" way to make it easier. I will be doing a recone kit in the next few weeks, maybe I'll take a moment and take a video along with some pictures. But I think their should be a video for Fi's Youtube explaining/showing how to do it properly.

I got a welder. But honestly, if you know any welders, it would only take them a few minutes and it would be done. Plus they would have a blanket to put down so the sparks wouldn't catch nothing on fire. I definitely wouldn't JB weld it or anything like that.
