    best 18" in 5 subes

I was going to suggest AQ HDC's, but you'd need more power. Very curious to see how your TC's do off 2500watts on the TL. Not sure if they have 150's in them, but should sound nice and get loud for a DD.

    1500D lowing Fuses

I bought the amp from him for $200 and it works fine, so must have been an install issue...

    help me with 1st system?!

Should have plenty of room as I run a 15" Q in the GF's Cobalt. 3.5cubes @ 32Hz works nicely for SQ and it gets plenty loud...

    FINALLY PICKED MY SETUP

You might want to consider Q's if you go the FI route as most guys are throwing more power at the BL's it seems. Personally I like the SSA Icon idea just to be different...

    Got Metered Yesterday

Car is a 2000 Altima with 2 HD315's forward firing. Picked up 2 more 1500D's for a song, so I threw them in so both pairs are strapped at 3ohms. Box is 8 cubes tuned to 35Hz as it sounds best for the music I listen to, meaning anything but new rap. It's just a daily driver that sounds very nice, but can get pretty loud also. TL at the headrest I did a 147.1 @ 31Hz which I was told is decent for a trunk car. I was pretty happy as it's far from an SPL car as I run a decent active front stage and dial the subs back 99% of the time. Couple of SQ guys at the get together took a listen and were quite impressed with how it sounded with the subs off and then dialed up to just blend nicely. I did give them a taste of some LSQ after that just for fun by cranking up the subs and turning on the rear fill. Both commented on how the rear fill actually made the front stage louder which was my goal. Obviously it's not a comp SQ car, but it's doing all that I wanted. I did 5 10+ second burps in a row at different freqs and right after I popped the trunk and the amps weren't even warm to the touch. Subs got a fuzz stinky is all. Gotta love them Sundowns!!!!

    Got Metered Yesterday

That's actually how I did it before and thought that it was considered a burp. Will the amps just go into protect if voltage drops too low, or could I seriously fry them? Running an SVR up front, 2 Deka G31's in the rear, 2 runs of 1/0 and 200a EA alt. What kind of power could I potentially get out of each pair strapped at .75? I'll need to contact DJ and see what he thinks the HD's can take for "burps" as I don't want to hurt em.

some of my new sexy toys came in the other day

Can't bridge the amp in the HU, not designed to take that. The way I run my set up is active front stage off a 4 channel, and a cheapo 2 channel to power the rear coax's, but I run that amp off a toggle as it's rarely on. Only when I'm in the mood for cranking it up. If you plan on running the rear fill all the time then HU power might be enough and help to not overpower the front stage.

    Got Metered Yesterday

Thanks guys. It was even more fun to dial them back and play some SQ tracks and let the front stage shine. I beat out 3 15" L7's in an SUV and an MT18 in an SUV, but not by much. How would each pair of 1500D's do strapped at .75, so .375 per amp, for a burp???

LOOK WHAT UPS WANTED ME TO HAVE (PICS)

Looking good. What enclosure you putting them in and how much power will you feed them? I'd really like to hear some feedback on the Arsenals as there doesn't seem to be much out there...
  13. I see a few suggestions in that post, so which way did you decide to go?

question about safety of running a SAZ1500 at .5 ohm

I'm saying if you do the upgrades you plan on then running it at .5ohm will be fine, just not covered by warranty any longer. The amps were originally under warranty at .5ohm and they haven't changed, so just feed feed it enough juice and it'll be fine. You can find a post on why he had to drop warranty coverage, but needless to say it had nothing to do with the amps themselves

nbudros on CA has one for sale as he's downsizing. I know he was very impressed with the sound & output, but decided to get 2 8's as he wanted trunk space back...

question about safety of running a SAZ1500 at .5 ohm

2400 12v is what you want and if you do the electrical upgrades mentioned you'll be fine. I've been running my 1500D's strapped at 1.5, so .75ohms each for about 4 months now with zero issues. VERY solid amps...

    Need some advice please

If you can swing the extra $$$ for a 1500D then I'd go that route. The extra power and being able to wire down to .5ohm might not be needed in your current install, but it'll give you room to grow. Just something to consider. I'm VERY impressed with SD amps and Jake's CS, that's why I now own 4 1500D's. NO regrets on purchasing them as they peform flawlessly...

Box design for (4) RLP 15's...

I wouldn't tune over 32Hz for daily. I tried a pair at 34Hz and the sound just wasn't there, sort of hollow sounding. RL-P's are excellent sounding subs in the right enclosure and 32Hz was the best mix of SQ/SPL in my application...

    New Home Audio Project

Have you considered doing them IB? I ran 4 Tempests IB a few years back and it was by far the most "musical" sub set up I've ever heard/had. Lacked a little for HT as I like a LOT of output at times, but they also were in a null spot in the room as that was the only place I could place. them. I believe the MJ's are suited for IB, so maybe Mark will chime in to confirm...

    great drivers from mids/highs

One nice thing about Chargers is the door cutout is HUGE. You could easily go 8-9" in the factory location, but then you either have to find a tweeter that will play down low enough, or go 3 way... Might want to do some searching on diyma for proven 2-3 way combos and also search the archives here.

    Need help making list

x2 on the 6.5's up front. Find a way to fab them in as the effort will be worth it. You only need to isolate the rear batt if you'll be playing with the car off for long periods and don't want to kill the starting batt, otherwise isolator isn't needed. I've had good luck with SVR & Deka for batteries, but also look into Optima, Kinetik, & a few others I can't think of at the moment. 1500D is an excellent amp, good choice. The 100.4 is pretty big, so hard to say if it'll fit under the seat. You'd have to look at the specs and measure under your seat. I run an amp under both front seats, so no problem in doing that. I've only heard a few sets of comps, so can't really recommend anything there. Just do some searching/reading and if possible try to demo stuff locally, even if you plan on purchasing online. Better to let your ears decide what they like Sites I've had very good experiences with: millionbuy, SSA, sonicelectronix...
