if you look at RE calc STEP 2 shows the cuts you would have to make to piece the box together. id suggest you cut all those pieces out, then write what piece is what with a pencil so you dont get confused.

Yep, it will affect the tuning. For a given port, if you add space to the enclosure (like putting a sub in with a smaller displacement) it will lower tuning. If you use up more space, you will raise the tuning. However, in MOST cases it's not going to be audible but it's the reason why several of the books out there on enclosure design and building suggest building the enclosure on the large side. It's easy to add some wood blocks or something to take up some space and bring the tuning up to where you want it, it's really really hard to add space.

The T/S parameters are the electro-mechanical specifications that are used to design for a specific driver. They have to do with the compliance, or stiffness of the suspension, the strength of the motor, and much much more. This information, when measured/determined accurately, can tell exactly how that driver will perform in given situations and can be used to derive the ideal enclosure alignment in which to use it. That's all done with some very in depth but easy to get a hold of formulas. Also, there's lots of programs out there that do the math for you, though they're not always entirely accurate. EVERY driver, even "sister" ones off the same assembly line, have different T/S specifications though the "sister" ones will or should be very close.
So would that be the specs that are show on the subs like Qes, Qms, Qts, Xmax, etc..? Because when I used this one calc to build my box a while ago I think it did have me enter something like this. Thanks for explaining this to me, I appreciate it.

I've currently got a Brand X audio BA18. I believe it's from a build house in the states that makes a Moab is it. I'm from the uk by the way.
It's currently in a 4.5cuft box tuned to 30Hz with about 60sqin of port area. Although small it does sound nice. Just wondering what you guys would do with it. I can get some T/S specs up in a bit when home.

What lance said is good info... if he has a single Tweeter and single mid in each front door,.. and it keeps up with 4 18" ZCONS, then they should keep up with most anything u can fit in your car. Maybe just copy his front stage. Lol

Agreed florida cops are really pigs my blonde big tittied gf can get away with going freakin 30 over and I get a ticket for tint and I'm wearing a suit and tie....really....

In New Jersey the loud music shit is now put under "careless driving" which I received a ticket for back when I was 18yrs old. I have an Alpine deck and Kenwood comps in front powered off the HU with 2 10" JL subs.... He claimed he heard me coming from 1/2 mile away ... I was picking up a friend in front of a club at like 10-11pm .... FML!

I got one recently. I had all the windows up and was listening to the Eagles for fuck sake. Granted it was loud, but nothing to try and call attention to myself.
( I know how to do that just fine LOL ) Kid pulls my old ass over and writes me a disturbing the peace ticket. Granted, I have friends and got out of it, but still WTF was this guy thinking to write me a ticket for that. I really wanted to kick him in the pucking twat just for being stupid, but i just said thanks buddy, and went on about my way.
Cops dont really care too much about stopping crime anymore, it's all about making that money and noise violations are a cash cow.
That is 100% exactly the reason for most tickets that cops write. When the city is low on money, its like they post a banner or something, "lets go write some BS tickets...$$$$"
I'll be sure to let you guys know how it goes...my court date is scheduled for the 23rd but I may have it rescheduled sooner to get it over with.

Here in nashville, my ticket said you can't be hear or felt withing 50 FT. The system is phucked so... Can't really do too much about it, if you wantedddd, you could fight it, and probly get away with it if you have a semi decent lawyer, but for a 50$ ticket, it wouldn't be worth the time nor the effort. Just really sad imho...

Well there is two sides of that story to your last statement, over like, 60 or 70 percent major bust are because of "these" kind of routine pullovers. But it sucks either way you look at it.

It comes with a microphone that makes the lights pulse to the bass, i know it does not work good because a friend of mine has the same kit. So my question is, is there anyway you can hook this directly up to my HU or amp so it will work perfectly?

i seriously don't believe u need an upgraded alt...
Realistic power wired to 1ohm load shouldnt be pullin more than 70A at the maximum off that amp and that's split second draw...
Just keep it revved while someone else measures voltage.
As long as you stay above the low 13s, adding a battery is fine.
In terms of fixinf your light dimming, i can't answer that as i don't know how sensitive those lights are.

Was it a Statey? If so you're not gonna get out of it. Why because I know alot of people that tried to fight a statey on tickets and lost really bad. But if it was a local cop turbot will be easier. Also how much traffic was on the road?

Nope just a local cop...and its some little city thats honestly 5min long, they sent me to the neighboring city court house..the city i live in. lol. There was a good amount of traffic but i dont think im going to fight it, i dont have time for it, thought i was a free man though, until like a few miles down the road he came flying up on me..."he was like did you not think i was coming to get you"..lol
But I live in Stow..its inbetween Akron and Cleveland.

Some tickets are just BS and going down to the court can often times get them thrown out (at least in my area).
May I ask, were your windows up or down?
Oh i plan on doing that for sure...been to court enough to know how to act, "yes you honor, no your honor". lol...
But my windows were down...up here in OH the weather sucks so when its nice its a must to have them down.
Hopefully all goes well though.I make it a habit, if I'm playing any bass, windows are up. And even so, I still need to turn it down at intersections and bumper to bumper traffic.

Loud mufflers are a lot more bothersome than loud stereos in my opinion.^^This. There a couple of guys that live just down the street and have very loud motorcycles. Every time they take off from the stop sign in front of our house, the windows in the living room sound like they are going to fall out of the wall. It's extremely annoying.
My point exactly about the bikes.
Go in with the attitude that your going to lose.. and hope that the officer is late or doesnt show up.

Dress nice and be respectful. Let the judge know that you were trying to be respectful by not doing it in neighborhoods or ealry/late. Also tell them that it was your first time to ever even be pulled over for that violation (not sure how long you've have the system). Any respectable judge will at least reduce your ticket by half in my opinion.
Going on 2yrs now....and im just going to let him know that i just bought a house in that city and wasnt aware that you werent allowed to play them any time of the day, and that i dont play it when/where i shouldnt. fingers crossed...lol.

I would check all of your wiring first...You dont want the wires just laying all around on top of eachother. And make sure you have a good ground.
I had a humming noise that would hum along with my rpms as i drove, very high pitch and annoying. All I did was re-ground my amps and made sure all my wiring was seperated and it went away...
