    10" BTL

Today I met a guy (goes buy oldschool on termpro) who does like 155.9 with two twelves in db drag. Well personally I wouldnt want to compete with him *street b* so i was looking at doing a street a setup but i have heard that the 10" btl's are not musical that they are just for burps only. So a few questions: 1> How musical are they??? 2> How much power can they handle??? (looking @ 2000 watts right now) 3>Would doing one 12, or 3 8" be better???

If I wire a 2 subs down on the SAZ 1500d

i always forget that parallel subtracts and series adds.

That one, shows my infinite noobishness , at least in this case if he had followed my directions he would have wired up instead of down... for the correct.

cool, just let me get my sundown amps in first, than the subs will follow I hate having loan payments, what i pay in loans every month would equal a new fully loaded 12" BTL

That is the dual 1 no additional cost. wise ass's, what options would you recommend for street A, currently each one will be seeing 2200 ish watts, later on when the 3000d comes out they will be seeing 4400 ish watts each.

the motor/ magnet structure is almost the same width as the cut diameter. The only downside's to the 10" btls is they don't play music very well, if at all from what i heard. I might for the beginning of the season run one 12" btl with a 1500d per coil @ .75 ohms, than eventually run one 3000d per coil (if it comes out this season) to a pair of 10" btls. Nothing is final yet. Testing will commence shortly (will be purchasing my first 1500d this friday)... Although a DD or audioque are being considered as well.

    AQnother Sign of The Apolcolypse

That's like saying Fi is Re because the brain behind it is the same. So many things are shared in this world whether it be sub woofer soft parts or amp boards, or computer brains and suspension parts from other manufacturers.

Actually i would debate that whole-heartedly. Chrysler has been an American staple, and unlike Ford who has been going under since the 60's, Chrysler has re-invented itself several times over and over. Chrysler did the mini-van, was working hand in hand with many many cars. In 95 Chrysler introduced the neon that was the most powerful, best handling car in its class at the time. Which dominated road racing into the early 00 years. Reintroduced the neon in the srt-4 form, and re-invented the muscle car philosophy in America. The fact is, only once chrysler started its come around did Mercedes buy it. Than Mercedes has been driving chrysler into the ground to further tarnish the reputation of the company before it could sell it. Dr. Z is hated in Germany for his love of Chrysler cars "because they aren't German" 2003- Srt-4, magnum, 300... all huge successes. Mercedes input- the crossfire, failure.

Two mono amps to my BTL

the bad news is, you are only pushing 600 more watts, for a total of 2200. Not that its not a lot or anything but doubling the power is 3 dB's, so you are talking about 1.25 dB gain theoretically. And not only are you pushing more watts, you are drawing more current.

    amperage draw of the saz-1500D

Jacob, like all other amp manufacturer's uses fuses for a reason, to help to save the amp in the case of misuse. Some amps can do more than their fuses add up to, internal capacitors etc... But if Jacob put 60 amp fuses in their, than anyone who was trying to run the amp @.5 ohms and didnt have the electrical, well lets just say that even with the 40 amp fuses he had to end the .5 ohm coverage.

BEST amp settings for my BTL 15"

I would set it as low as your front soundstage can handle. like 63 or 80 hz.

Two mono amps to my BTL

twice as many amps, equals twice as much current draw. Did you set your gains with a dmm??? what are your box specs?

If I wire a 2 subs down on the SAZ 1500d

wire the coils in series (down to .5 ohms per sub) and than wire the subs in parallel to get a final impedance of 1 ohm
