    Sundown going into protect

That may not be sufficient unless you have extremely good packing around the amp inside the carton. Did you include your invoice too ? The inside is well package from when I got it so i doubt that the shipping was the problem. (Wouldn't other pieces be messed up as well if that were the case?) Ricky did his part and I don't want him to take the blame for this. EDIT: I did remember to include it. Thanks, Curt He needs the actual sundown invoice which I have. I will email it to you tomorrow Jacob. As I told Curt I will be happy to take care of this if it was due to shipping.

    Some original SD-1 12" Available

Jacob How would the SD-1's work in a home stereo? Thinking about putting 6 of them in my game room.

    SAE-1000D Questions

I'd say keep the 1000D around and inroduce the 800D. Just out of curiosity how much cheaper is the 800D? Some dealers prefer to stock less expensive amps and needless to say for the non-educated buyer big = LOUD.

    From: SD-1 v.2 10" Blowout Sale

I think a 15" version of a SD-1 that could handle a 1000D would do exceptionally well. The 1000D is one of my overall favorites of the sundown amps for daily setups due to the size and power that it puts out. Have you thought about a 15" version?

    3000d draw at 2 ohm

You would not be disappointed with the 1000D's and you could get away with your stock alt and a powermaster 3100 as a secondary battery. PS. The big three IMO on the Magnum which is somewhat the same setup as my charger would require you to run 1/0 from your alt under the hood to the battery in your trunk. It only has 4 ga factory so I would highly recommend it.

    Sundown E12 Driver

I know for sure that I can take 8 of them off of you hands. The current enclosure is set up for 8 12's, thought about putting 8 Sd-1's but these subs look alot beefier. I'll have to wait till I get the truck home before I commit to anything else as I have to make sure that they will fit and decide how quickly I want to rebuild it. I more so want to demo this year than be loud on the mic.

    Sundown Entry Level Woofer

I'm gonna play in autocad and see what I can come up with.

    Sundown Entry Level Woofer

IMO... not a good idea. Would hold up for short bursts of music and/or burps if mechanical travel was kept under control by the box, but not for extended periods of time. If you went 16 of them I'd be quite confident - and you could get 1 ohm per amp These won't be terribly expensive either. As soon as I get my van sold I will get to bring my new toy home. I will measure and see if I can fit 16 of these puppies in there. Actually what is the mounting depth of the subs. I can play in autocad based off the dimensions of the current enclosure.

    Sundown Entry Level Woofer

Serious? If you want 24 I may start production sooner than planned. So how do you think 8 would hold up on 2 - 3000D's?

X12 New Design in the works

You have WAY too many things on the bck burner, lol. I want to see if I can list them all, SAX 250.2, SAZ-2000D, SAE-75.2, SAE-50.4, SAE-1500D, SAZ-5000 or 7000D, E series subs, the 12" shown with the original Nightshade proto. I think that is it, but I may have missed some, lol. If you do all of these Sundown will own the car audio world, lol. It takes alot of capital to get those products through the prototype phase much less to keep stock on it. Trying to go big fast can make a company go bankrupt. I don't blame Jacob. Take it slow, keep quality #1 and A1 customer support. Everything else with fall in place in due time. I don't know how it is for Jacob but all prototypes that we build at the company I work for are marked up 10+%

    ATTN: Jacob :D

Yeah but MECA has a little fuse rule that would probably keep some people from buying. But I could see a 5000D selling pretty good. Not to far over the edge yet affordable.
  23. Rickyharrisjr

    ATTN: Jacob :D

Needless to say that if Jacob rates it at 5000 watts it would probably be capable of doing 7K.
  24. Rickyharrisjr

    ATTN: Jacob :D

I would vote for the 7KW because it might be cheaper dollar per watt. But as Meca has no amp limitations I would have no need for one. How ever an efficient 5000 watt amp would be great.

    24 SD-1 12"

Just thought I'd post a few pics of my build thats about 45% done. Few Pics of the Van The enclosure: Test fit of the subs I have ripped up the plywood that was bolted to the floor and romoved the back seat. Need to fill the screw holes and tint my windows before I put my enclosure in. When I put the enclosure in I will brace it with 2x4's all the way around.
