Recone RE SX 15 with Fi Soft parts

Do you guys offer a recone kit from Fi that will fit the RE SX motor? If so, could you PM me a price please? Also, would you be willing to sell the recone + motor for a Q? Let me know!

    Havoc preferences...

Aiming them back gives more "thump" to me. If you aim them up, it tends to smooth out the notes a bit, a little more musical IMO. I have an RE SX 15 in a 5.5 cu ft box, 33hz, port and sub facing up and it sounds nice. I have done several tests with the woofer and different box designs. I get more SPL with the woofer up and port back, but seems to have a better overall sound with the port and sub facing up, just not quite as much spl.

Hey guys. Can you recone a RE SX 15 to a 15" BTL? Let me know!

    box help for btl

Usually, a larger box means more SPL, to a certain extent. I would seriously go with the recommended enclosure parameters listed on the Fi site.

Yeh, you're right. Now I'll have to change a few things in my box design, DOH! lol, I talked to Dominik (spell check) from Iraggi. He suggested that I get the 300a alt as well because of the massive current draw from the Hifonics. I suppose I'll get the battery tray and put another yellow top under the hood, too. That should provide enough juice. How exactly do you have to go about hooking up 2 batteries? I've seen auxillary battery kits online go for as much as 500 bucks. I've also heard wiring them in parallel works, too. What do you guys suggest?

^^^^ I want an Iraggi Amputator My opinion is it should sound pretty good. Do you have a question about it? Is 48" wide the biggest you can fit in your yukon (Just curious becuase I'm getting the same body style and maybe my setup will move to the new vehicle) Yeh, it stretches all the way across the back. My current setup is that way, too. Here's the link to my SX 15... http://s45.photobucket.com/albums/f71/ramdaspadhye/ And I had to take the port out of that box again and round over the edges. I forgot like a retard, lol. Only question I have is will the alt that I picked out be enough...that's it.
  10. Hey guys. I'm trying to finish up designing the subwoofer/amp combo for my 02 Yukon. I currently have an RE SX 15, 5.5 cubes at 33hz, on a jbl bp1200.1 My new one will be a single fully loaded BTL 18, 8 cubes, exactly 119 sq inches port area, at 33hz. It will be fed by a Hifonics Colossus (3200rms at 2). All power/ground will be 1/0 KnuKoncepts Kollosus cable (5000+ strands), Optima Yellowtop up front, Iraggi Amputator 175 idle/220 at 1400, possibly another yellowtop in the rear later on. Box will be 48Lx24.5Dx18.5Hl, with an internal dimentions of 46.5x23x17, with a 7x17" port (119sq inches port area) and 28" long. The port itself (with MDF included) will take up approximately 2.13 cu ft. plus the .26 displacement of the woofer, giving 2.39 cu ft loss due to port and woofer. Total volume comes out to be 8.13 cu ft after displacement. All opinions welcome. Thanks

    2 SSD 10's in a 0.6 cu ft box in f-body

Haven't really decided yet. I was just wondering what subs would work well for those enclosures, then decide how much power to run once I got the woofer down. If I'm gonna run the SSD's, I'll run between 1200 and 1500w rms to them. I was lookin at the SunDown amps and they sound really nice Also, gonna leave the monsoon system in for now, but upgrade later with a 4 channel and some ID chameleons on down the road
  13. hey guys. I've got a 2000 firebird trans am that is in need of some extra bump. I currently have 1 Resonant Engineering SX 15" in a 5.5 cu ft box at 33hz in my Yukon and it sounds amazing on music and tones. I'm wanting to do the 2 10" stealth enclosures that fit into the rear pockets of the firebird. Here's what I mean... http://www.subthump.com/acamarostealth.htm I was wondering about the SSD 10's. Do you think they would be nice for this enclosure? I know the minimum sealed enclosure is actually 0.6 cu ft. With displacenemt, I'm assuming the final volume of the box will be around 0.4-0.5 cu ft. Is this too small for this driver? What other 10" woofer would you recommend? I'm going to be going with 2 woofers, one for each side. I'm open to recommendations. Let me know!

Fi Q 15' Review and Numbers (Lots of Pics)

Amazing... I hit almost the same numbers with my Resonant Engineering SX 15 in my yukon (146.3 in 5.5 cubes, tuned to 33hertz). With it tuned at 30 hertz, that's a nice number. I'm wanting the Q-series 18 if I can sell my current 15. Congrats! How do you like that Hifonics amp? I've heard mixed reviews about them, but also heard the 06+ models push what they say. What do you think?
