    TC Sounds 18'' LMS Ultra

Item(s) for Sale: TC Sounds LMS Ultra 18'' Item(s) Description/Condition: This driver is in amazing condition. I purchased it almost 3 years ago where it sat unused for the majority of the time brand new in box. It was briefly used for maybe ~8 weeks combined and still almost barely broken in. This speaker never saw more than 1000w. Price: $750.00 FIRM. Honestly, I don't even want to sell this, so no sense wasting time with any lowball offers. Right now these go for over $925.00 new on partsexpress. Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information: As always with a near 90lb 18'' woofer local pick up is always preferred, but I will ship to cont. US. You pay shipping, woofer will be insured. Item Pictures: I left it in the enclosure until a buyer shows up simply because its the safest place for it. It is not currently in use, just sitting in garage. The speaker will be shipped in original packaging, which includes two boxes, one for top assembly and another for the motor.
  3. Item(s) for Sale: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS 7'' DVD Car Receiver Item(s) Description/Condition: The HU is in great shape. No scratches, nicks, dents, nothing. Got it about a year ago and only had it in maybe 6 months. In 100% working order along with 100% aesthetic condition. I'm buying a new truck so figured would throw the old headunit back in and sell this one. Price: $320.00 and I will include the PAC TR-7 thats already wired into the harness. Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information: YOU pay shipping. Item Pictures:
  4. Just in case anyone is curious what these go for new... http://www.parts-express.com/bc-15cx40-15-professional-coaxial-speaker-80-x-80-8-ohm--294-5772
  5. I really need these out of the garage and have had 0 bites so Ill let the B&C go for $100 and the 18'' go for $50
  6. Item(s) for Sale: B&C Audio 15'' CX40 Martin Audio 18'' S218 Item(s) Description/Condition: These were given to me to pay off a debt, I have absolutely no use for them and want them out of my garage... take up way too much space on my bench. They seem to be in good condition and coils all read proper ohmage, but their are some minor flaws to be noted. Firstly the S218 seems to of been reconed and is off center. When pushing down on it there feels like a tad bit of resistance on the coil. So could possibly need a recone, could just have very tight tolerance. Second, the CX40 has a slight pin sized hole in the silk dustcap, and a small portion of the outter surround has lifted from the basket. I have no way to test these to their full capabilities music wise but I did run a small bit of power through them and they both produced normal sound. I still can not guarantee 100% functionality so you are buying these AS IS. Price: B&C Audio 15'' CX40 -$300 OBO Martin Audio 18'' S218 -$200 OBO Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information: You pay shipping, only willing to ship to continental 48. Local pick up is always great. Item Pictures:

    shutting down

or bad grounds, somewhere ? Don't know, just thinking ! Nah, not to thread jack, but I have definitely isolated my problem to the amplifier. I have dropped in several different amps into the exact set up trying to figure out what was going on and no dice, its the 2500D. As for OP, I would figure out your ohm load issue first before we blame the amp.

    shutting down

A buddy of mine is having the exact same problem with a 2500D. His electrical system is solid (300A alternator, 4 deka 9ag31s), but for some reason its really touchy and will shut right into protect if you don't roll the volume, but then pops right back out of protect. He is running it at 1 ohm, and I know sundowns are overbuilt and can run at lower loads with no problem. Gain was oscoped and there is no bass boost. Maybe we got a defective batch?

    (2) SSA Xcon 18 Review

So last night I took around an hour or so to write up some huge review on my new pair of 18'' Sound Solution Audio Xcons. Unfortunately there was a url glitch and the thread is gone, so I will try to sum up my product review instead of another 5000 word essay. The SSA Xcon is an amazingly solid driver that has absurd amounts of low end output (on little power might I add) and still acts incredibly responsive, the sound quality of this sub does not hold back its ability to "get loud" one bit. I feel that the Xcon is a very under appreciated driver in today's market, so luckily for you all interested in this sub, I'm taking more time to write this second review. My enclosure is 14^3ft, all 3/4'' birch ply doubled up all around. Its tuned to 27hz.. Originally I had a pair of 18'' nightshades (3kw versions), and all though I highly recommend all sundown products,i shortly realized the nightshades were too SPL oriented for my application. After switching to the SSA Xcons and only powering them with an AQ 1200d at .5ohms, I blew my trucks sunroof off its hinges @ 30hz and it sounded pretty damn good while doing it. These drivers are amazing, I still can't believe something can sound this tight and get so loud at the same time. At first I was a bit hesitant at the single slug design, but the first note that dropped completely took all my doubt away. (and took my sunroof away) The icing on the cake would have to be the sub is down right attractive due to the concave cone and textured 12 spoke basket. As far as cons go, I haven't ran into any big ones yet. But from an unbiased point of view I have to reach up in my ass and bring something out. One thing would be the push terminals couldn't fit my 8 gauge, but not too many drivers take wire that thick. The only other thing would be some might consider the power handling a bit low at 1750 RMS, but oh boy, after only giving them 700 a piece, I am somewhat scared to hear them with any more power. So all bullshit aside, if you are looking for a driver that has incredible low end output, and still enough precision to make an audiophile shit himself, then the SSA Xcon is what you want. I'll post some pictures below, and when I get some more power I will throw up my numbers and videos. PS. sorry I took the logos off. the drivers the enclosure gave it some foam and vinyl...

    (2) SSA Xcon 18'' Review

So first off I would like to say that I usually never write product reviews. In fact, even with all of the car audio equipment I have owned in the past, I still have never wrote a single review. Fortunately for you all, the SSA Xcons prompted me to give it a try, simply because these drivers are too well made and under appreciated for me to stay quiet . I feel like the Xcon is a solid piece of equipment in this over inflated balloon of a market car audio sits in. So with that being said, let me fill you in. I started off with a 14^3ft enclosure with three 6'' aero-ports tuned to 27hz. A little foam... A little vinyl... And that's the enclosure. Now originally I had two 18'' 3kw version nightshades in the enclosure. All though I 100% stand behind every Sundown product, I shortly realized these subs were just not for my application. So I set them aside and started looking for new drivers that would sound nice in this enormous enclosure. One thing led to another and I started looking at Xcons. At first I was a bit hesitant regarding the single slug motor design, but the huge bottom plate, aluminum short ring, and concave dust cap won me over. When I received them I was shocked on how good they look, but still had second doubts on their output. All doubt went away the second I hooked them up. Off of a single AQ1200@.5 ohm, not only did they blow my sunroof off the hinges @ 30hz, but they sounded god damned good doing it. Oh they also looked pretty cool in the box. Now all bullshit aside, these are two of the best drivers I have ever owned. They are incredibly responsive, have humongous low-end output (even with the little power I am giving them) and in general just a very versatile sub that is simply put, under appreciated in the car audio world. I highly recommend this sub to anyone who is trying to get loud, low, and still have sound quality to make any audiophile shit himself. I plan on putting a 3000d at half ohm on these soon and I will update when I do that. Till then, buy this sub, you won't regret it. PS. sorry I took the logos off.
