  1. I ordered 1 guage wire that should be in friday hopefully. But how should i run such large wire? I also have a run of 8guage for my 2 channel... id like to run both of them from the battery. But i have the 1300.1mono block. I installed my volt meter today and its pretty sweet. My alt dosnt power more that 14.0 volts.. but thats fine right? Lol i have all stock electrical. My 2 channel only drops it to 13.9.... that isnt like a warning about what my mono block will do is it?
  2. Well im planning to buy either 1awg or 2 awg power wire from wire and supply to power my ppi black ice 1300.1d. I have all stock electrical.. but i need a fuse inbetween my battery and amp. What sizedo i get? The amp has 4 35amp fuses... does that mean get a 130 or so fuse? And should i get the anl fuse or the round one?... and is that wire the right size? Or should i be going with 4awg? Or like 1/0...
  3. Alright so 4 awg is big enough for 1300rms. And 120 amp fuse will be good also? Thanks. I am buying it from the welding supply to get enough for the big 3... how many lugs do i need for that?.... iv never really done anything under my hood besides change my oil and install my hids.. and 8 awg power for my last set up. But i wanna do the big 3 and install a small volt meter to my amp to see the voltage its getting. Because ik my electrical isnt up to par...

    bk1300.1d

Alright well thats good... besides for the screws but i already ordered it so thats what im getting! Haha it should sound real good
  5. Any one have any experience with this product? The percision power black ice mono block at 1300@1ohms found it for 200 free shipping wanted to jump on it...
  6. enclosure is going to be roughly 3-4 cuft. 7.5" form tube as the port internal probably facing the roof of my truck. so the whole enclosure will be almost like 5 cuft... but i have a 06 tundra access cab. but im saving 2 rear seats. the middle and the passengerside back seat will be free. the seat directly behind the driverseat is where the box will be and amp. it will be slanted back slightly for driver comfort. the enclosure will be determined by how big it turns out... hard to make measurements for the box... perferably 4cuft tuned to like 32hz... so that i can keep the amp low...
  7. I ordered a ssd15 and it should be coming in in about a week. What amp should i choose? I have been looking at the soundstream rubicon 1600d, the powerbass xax1200d, and the lanzar opti1400d. These are all on amazon for under $230 with shipping. Its weird how the least powerful is the most expencive and the most powerfull is the least expencive. But something about the lanzar has been grabbing my attention. If there are any other amplifiers in this like class and price range could you help me out and give a reccomendation?
  8. yeah i understand that but i feel like id be dissapointed with only 800rms and an empty wallet... like i just sold a powerbass asa400.2 and if you ask me it sounded great, had good power and never heated up. i spent 100bucks on that... i know my electrical isnt up to par for like 1500rms.. but atleast then ill have something else to build up to after i buy an amp. for now i can keep it turned down untill i can upgrade my alt and idk about batterys because there is absolutly no room for them... thats why i got a 15 instead of 2 12s.. i dont have any space. but i want it as loud as possible... i got a small volt meter to moniter my voltage and ill turn it down when its around 12.3 or whatever.. but i am not planning to be able to run this amp all day... probably just for a couple mins at a time at like 3/4 volume.. but ik your going to say bad choice but how is the ppi bk1300.1d? the black ice series is supposed to be good... and its 200 on ebay. i need to buy power wire aswell... what size should i get? like 1/0? or would 2awg be big enough?
  9. Well i definatly want atleast 1000rms... even 1500... but i really cant spend over 250.... i still need power wire and a sheet of mdf... so 250 for the amp the highest... ik its not much for that much power but im 17 and no job... lmao but gotta bang! Haha
  10. Well i definatly want atleast 1000rms... even 1500... but i really cant spend over 250.... i still need power wire and a sheet of mdf... so 250 for the amp the highest... ik its not much for that much power but im 17 and no job... lmao but gotta bang! Haha
  11. Iv got a bid for that amp... the shipping is like 22... so im onky gunna go to 200... if i dont win it I Think im gunna go with the lanzar opti1400.... idk why but i like that one... and i have all green lights in my truck so i cnt get the powerbass with the blue illumination.
  12. Alright well ill try and get the st1000d how much would be too much for it? Like should i go 220? Or is that like over priced for it used? Any help is appreciated.
  13. Lol alright well i got the cooling feature aswell. But what amp would you reccomend for a quality amp? I cant spend over 250... thats the problem. So i was thinking buy a cheaper amp with more power and turn it down... to get clean power.
  14. I bought a sono tube today for a port for my ssd15 that should be coming in about a week or so. The tube measures about 7.5" diameter. I was planning to make a 4 cuft box tuned to about 28hz or so. But is there any way to curve the tu e to make it a right angle? Lol... idt it will fit inside my box without a curve. And i cant get any fiberglass or resin so what should i do to the cardboard tube to make it hard enough for the port? Could i put poly on it then paint it? Or like any good ideas? And since its not quite 8" tube should i just make a 3.5 or 3 cuft box? And do i need double baffel or should single be strong enough for a ssd15? On 1000rms... please any help will be very much appreciated.

sono tube port help! is it enough

Yeah but there is dirt outside the concrete.. but like 2 inches all the way around one lip will be enough to hold it horizontal? My port needs to be horizontal... and this tube is cardboard... wont it lose its shape?

sono tube port help! is it enough

Why do i want it external? Lol its just a daily driver but its gotsta look good! Haha and no way could i stick the port out of the box to where the people will be sitting. Haha i have no problem with the port right at their ear... haha but they need room to sit. Lol but thats basicaly what im stuck to as far as dimensions anyways. Except it will be standing on its small end. So a vertical box.. almost like a walled corner... haha but small enough to take out... but thankyou for the help.

sono tube port help! is it enough

Okay i was originally going for 2 6" ports... then decided this would be easier... and almost as big but still wasnt the same size at 8"... and i thought an 8" port was a little smaller than i really wanted... but iv read alot of your posts and i definitely will take your word for it. But do i want the port to load off of something? Or should i give it the most clear path possible? This is going in a 06 tubdra access cab directly behind drivers seat while keeping 2 seats in the back useable. Im planning to point the sub at the drivers seat and the port either at drivers seat aswell... or up towards the roof to load off... or i possibky can poi t towards open space at the passengers seat... how do you reccome.d?
