  1. Its a soundstream rubicon 1600d on the ssd15. And my first amp i ever bought a pyramid classic on the front doors. Lol. But it works fine aslong as its not turned up too high... but so i should get a 1/0 power and distributer block. Alright thanks guys!

  2. The amp im buying says it takes 4 guage... but its a 1600rms amp. I also have a amp on my door speakers that takes 8 guage but do i run a 1 guage and a distribution? Or do i go bigger and try to cram bigger than 4 in the sub amp?

  3. Yeah i was one of those guys flipping out about waiting.... but the quality of the sub made up for it so much i just recdntly ordered a ssd15 and i will be out of school by the time i get it so i cnt even show it off... but i know the sub will be amazing. If you can wait this is the place to go

  4. So should i get 2 awg? Lol... i dont plan on upgrading after this. So i just need power and ground. So im thinking the tuni.g could be around 35hz. But do i want the port to load off the roof? Or point towards back of seat with the speaker also? And is there any recommendations for an amp thats u.der 250bucks thats 1000+rms? Im ki.da thing the soundstream wont be the best quality if i cnt use the whole thing anyways. Thank you all for the help

  5. Yeah i didnt add but im going to run the amp at 1 ohm but gained down to about 900-1000 rms... hopefully this would give best quality power... so no cap. Btw im getting the cooling upgrade on the sub. And id like to compete or just go to a comp and check it out... i have no odea where to go tho. But ill stick with like pvc ports. Idk where i want it tuned yet so ill mess with it a little.. some where between 28-35... lol ik big difference but i think the plastic i got is pretty strong. Its not gunna be a big window and like siliconed and bolted all around.. roundish window with rounded edges. But what size power wire do i need for the amp to run at top power? Like ik bigger is better but a less empty wallet is also better... so its going in a 06tundra access cab

  6. Alright well iv decided to get a 15"ssd with a soundstream rub1600. I need power wire... and should i get a capacitor?... i have all stock electrical. But i ordered a volt meter to watch and make sure my voltage dosnt go to low... but i am thinking a 5 cuft box with pvc ports... tuned to like 35hz... or lower... not sure yet. Possibly square interchangable ports.. its going in a tundra access cab.. any ideas? I have a sheet of like 3/8" plastic for a window in the box. Possible leds in the box... not sure yet but def a window. So any crazy ideas to make this build original? Im 18 but pretty skilled with a saw and router.. let me know.

  7. I just installed a HID kit today that i recieved for my bday... instalation was alright. It came with set of bulbs, set of ballasts, and some small 1x1.5" black cube with power and ground and stuff... but my right bulb flickers alot.. and sometimes just dosnt turn on. And the left sometimes dosnt go on. But i believe i need a relay switch.. not sure where to get that.... if any other questions to help me fix this please ask!

  8. Well i cant get any upgrades unless i get the ssd... my budget is really 300... but id rather pay less. But on the website is says with the cooling feature on the ssd it gains up to 500rms. But its going in a 4-5 cuft box with a pvc port or possibly square port with interchangable ports... i have all stock electrical. 70amp alternator. Clarion cx501.. im getting new power wire.. prob like 1 guage... idk yet. Iv heard that the q goes lower than the bl. But the bl gets louder.. iv also heard thats all bs... but opinions please! Im upgrading from a x12 on 400rms.

  9. Ahh id have to go and measure.. But its an odd shape and stuff but i definatly could fit like one 15. I would probably just use round ports and make it easy on myself.. Do i want to use the roof to load off of? I aim the sub towards the back of drivers seat and port can go anywhere really.. Just i dont want people hitting the sub with the two seats still used quite frequently. But honestly i couldnt give you a number for the space... I could probably fit about 4 or 5 cuft... If the box is formed to the seat and stuff.

  10. I have about $300 budget. Thats maximum... Including me making a box. I was thinking 4 infinity refrence 8" subs... Or 2 10" obsidian audio subs. Or like one ssd 15... Idek if i could fit any of this in my truck where i want it. The back seat behind the drivers seat.. So i still need 2 seats in the back aswell. Its a toyota tundra access cab. I hopefully an getting a hifonics brz.1800 on monday for a bday presant... If not iv been wastig all my time thinking and hoping for it. But id like to try and fit any of those in back there for some hard hitting bass.. I was told a price for the obsidians and it seemed fair.. Im kind of leaning toward them. I feel that the 8s would be alot more fancy looking. And have alot of tight punch bt not get quite so low... I believe the 15 would hit the lowest... But the least surface area so wouldnt be as loud... So im mostly stuck between the 8s and the 10s. The 8s just would look sexy... But they also wouldnt handle as much power... Not quite as much.. Im planning on running at 2 ohms 1200rms. Am i heading in the right direction? Idk about the sub choice for the eights.. They are cheap and "pretty" so i liked them. The obsidians should bang tho... So opinions please! And if i dont get the amp im sorry i even posted bt im thinking positive here...

  11. Tundra access cab. Can only take up the rear seat all the wY to the left. So i probably could fit 2 12s but not comfortAbly... With a good size box anyways... My box now is pretty big.. Definatly couldnt fit 2 of them in there. But prob $300 budget max... Perferably less but possibly 300. So i was thinking one 15 would be very impressive looking... But 2 10s should be louder and move more air...
