  1. I got a buddy that just bought a JVC KD-DV7300 H/U. This model does not come with a built in monitor. He is wanting to connect the unit so that the DVD monitor is capable of running all the time. He has a 13" external screen that he has previously used. The unit has a light green wire that is supposed to be connected to the brake line. Is there a way to over ride this? Thanks.

    Assassin IB install

I was thinking of using a pair of 8" Assassin's 8ohm 1st. gen. in an IB. This would go into my 07 Atima. Are these subs set up to run in an IB install. If not, I need to find another use for these subs.

    Firewall question..

Find a grommet that makes a good seal around your power wire and drill the hole in the firewall as needed. You can find these at Home Depot, Lowe's, ACE hardware, etc... Same concept as all the wires going from the engine compartment into the cab of the vehicle.

    Firewall question..

You could, but If you can, your best bet would be to drill a hole in a convenient place and insert a rubber grommet that way you have a good seal. If you do go this route, make sure you treat the hole with some kind of rust proof paint to prevent corrosion. Good Luck.

    Assassin IB install

A single 15" may work well underneath the rear deck. I'm willing to do mods to the back deck if that helps with suggestions. Again, I don't want to spend a lot of money. I'm not looking for LOUD. I'm more of an SQ type.

    Assassin IB install

Any suggestions on an 8" or 10" max for an IB install. I really want to keep as much space in the truck as possible. I was planning on mouting them on the back deck (face-up) and go from there. "make a plan... things don't go as planned." Budget: No more than $125 ea Sub. I'm not planning on using much power to the sub 200rms or so to each if that. I'm open to suggestions.

    How much do I need?

Thinking of starting a long process of putting a system in my 07' Altima. I was wondering how much deadener would I need to put one layer in the cabin of the car (floor board, 4 doors and trunk)? Gonna start puttting away some money for this before I even begin putting speakers and such. Thanks!!!

    cone tore straight in half

AA will fix it for you. Got PICS? I'd love to see the damage. I had a sub freeze up on me about a year age and Chad fixed it quickly.

    How much do I need?

Would using the Spectrum be a wiser choice? I have the capabilities and tools to do the job. Anyone use the spectrum on here? Are there any advantages to using one over the other. From the website, it sounds like the two both do the job. Opinions please!!!!

    MB Quart QSD...

Check the crossover "little light fuse". Remove it from the crossover and make sure there is no oxidation on it. I'd suggest using some fine grit sandpaper to get any residue off. I had a similar problem with some MB Q's a few years ago. The crossovers were in the doors, as yours are, which is not the best environment for them. Good luck!!

What's up with the website. The .net and .com sites are all messed up. I can't seem to get to either address. Any reason for this? Is this a step forward or backwards?

Can we get a sticky for box specs?

I second this! A website with specs would be the best.
  22. Well, I've installed a complete new system in a friends SUV (minus a headunit). Everything is going great and just trying to tweak thinks a bit. One thing that is real obvious is the low bass extension. Is this a problem with having a LOC instead of an aftermarket unit. I have heard that this can be a problem in my situation. Is there a cure for this? I would like her to have full range capabilities. Thanks.

    Low Bass Missing

I don't know if this matters, but the LOC is adjustable. This could help with the sub signal. I try that out in the next couple of days. Thanks again.

    Low Bass Missing

Ok, here what the system is... 2007 Ford Edge Has the upgraded system (what ever that is). I did come with a factory sub. (8" POS) Stock HU LOC is Periferal SVEN 4 channel 1 pair AA Poly's 1 pair SEAS textile tweets I used the front and rear speakers for signal to the aftermarket LOC. The RCA's from there go to the Zed Minilith. The signal is split at the Minilith to also go to the Sundown 100.4. I believe the factory sub has five wires at the HU that went to the factory amp. Could I install another LOC using the sub signals from the HU or would the LOC cut out some of the lower sub signal? Just food for thought.
