just did a 143.2 db with my 15" zcon in my trunk at 31hz, good?
-
alright well i have a zcon 15 in my trunk in 4.5cf tuned around 31,32, ap3000,ho alt. 2 runs of 0 and 2 80ah batts,,, just did 143.2 at 31hz , just trying to see what all i can do to gain dbs without tuning higher cause i really like the lows,, will alot nicer amp help? more batts? what, i know deadening will help, should i just put it on everything thats metal? i did gain over a db with my girl sitting on the trunk so is there a way to make the trunk more sealed or something?

how do you have everything hooked up?
-
bet the enclosure has something to do with it, thats usually a huge difference, iv seen shitty subs sound pretty good with really nice boxes but yea, what all do you have
-

-

man the camera on your phone is better than my regular camera lol -
you think i would gain any if i closed off the port thats firing at the trunk and put an external aero port firing up through the rear panel my 6x9s are in

looking to see if there is better box i can build for my sub, i have a 15" zcon in 4.5cf box tuned to 32hz on around 3000 rms in my 2005 sable/taurus,,, sub and port is facing the trunk and cant turn the box around or anything, im thinking there is not enough air getting into the cabin because the box is so big (only like 3 inches on each side and an inch from the top of the trunk),,, probley going to need someone draw something up for me with cut sheet and everything when im going to build it but right now just wanting to see some ideas on what i should do to get as loud and sound as good as it can in my car
-
thinking about it, not sure how hard it will be though cause the opening to the cabin would be smaller than the sub
-
dont they recomend between 4-5?, mine is built to 4.5 and have 3000 rms and it sounds really good
-
didnt think that song was going to be as loud as it was lol
-
sounding louder and louder each day

i was wondering if it was alright to glue on and clamp my baffle with my subwoofer mounted already?
-
Pictures? ill try and put some up tomorow,, got a few pictures of the box while i was building it in the trunk
-
well i already did it lol, but what i was saying is i built a box inside my trunk and didnt put the baffle on yet,, then i got my sub and mounted it to the baffle that was not on the box then put the baffle with the sub on it on the box,, really hard to do with a zcon 15 on it lol
-
its just i got the box built in the trunk and there wouldnt be enough room for my drill and it would be really hard getting it in lined up cause its so heavy and sub is firing back
-
anyone? trying to do this tonight, just got my zcon back
-
what? what are you trying to figure out?
