    What would you choose? 6.5's or 6 x 9's

I was thinking about this thread this morning and realized I can't hear my comps in the rear at all. They are useless to me up front, so no rear fill for me next time. Thinking about a nice set of high-end comps. Any recommendations? I was looking at a nice set of Hertz or Focals? I know the budget wants to be known, but I don't have one in mind yet. I could see me spending 5 or 6 hundred for a set of heavenly sounding comps

    CDs anyone?

so I learnt some things this morning. I brought Black Eyed Peas albums last night and ripped them lossless. My CD player doesn't work and USB can't read them as lossless, but I'm playing thru the auxiliary. It's the clearest I've ever heard my music and this is thru the jack. I'm assuming the CD itself is clearer, but I can settle for this. Highs are singing and the bass is thumping. I'm thinking of deleting all my DLed mixtapes and just buying CDs and ripping them lossy.
  3. sometimes I hear you shouldn't and sometimes people say it's okay. I've personally never messed up an amp that way . My 701s is mounted on my box with plastic thingies under each arm. not helping much because the bottom vibrates loose all the time. I need rubber garments to stop that

What type of wall to do in the SSA Basstro Van

It seems 4th order walls are fairly popular and with that much cone area and power, you have a recipe for disaster

    CDs anyone?

Do do most radios support those formats? I gonna actually check for mine later today. I have a 32 gig card in my phone and only using 2.5 with phone and music files, so I think I have room for some big files. Just hard to download music in those formats without ripping them
  6. Yeah, my option only works if it full range
  7. I say get one of those cheap clarion EQs and he can run a full setup and it should sound better than anything he could do with that radio. Just gotta find somewhere to install it. That was my prob

Yes, I was a RF fanatic and got the T1 comps in front and back. They are okay, but you can get better for cheaper. To give an example, my buddy has crescendo comps and they sound just as good.
  9. I think it cussed you out lol. I would email the company those pics thou. Never seen that.

    CDs anyone?

My pioneer does have that grounding problem. I had to ground the sub RCAs, but I can't ground the aux

    CDs anyone?

I wish I knew how. I heard iTunes could do it, but I've never used anything from Apple. I know a guy that had 6 12s on 3k and he played music on CDs they he said he burned on iTunes and it leveled all the music out so it was all loud. It was nasty. Call me a wimp, but it was 6 w3 12s and 3 1000/1. Did a 48 with music.

    CDs anyone?

Speaking on that, I believe iPods get a fair amount louder than regular mp3 players or cellphones. My phone thru aux doesn't get that loud, but years ago, my buddy had a radio using aux with his iPod and it was loud and clear. But i'm not sure on the bitrate of some of this stuff I DL. I feel like I should buy the CDs and burn myself or just play the CD.
  13. So I download a lot of mixtapes from sites like DatPiff and so on. They sound alright. I DLed on my Game's old songs today and it was amazingly loud and clear, like hurting my ears while playing. Music usually doesn't get that loud in my ride. I believe there is too much variance in mp3s. I don't remember this with CDs. Always loud and clear. Anybody here still bump with CDs? And what are some good high quality strictly CD players, if you can still get them?

    Where are the lows?

I'm using one of their boxes now and you won't get but so low with it. The port maybe 3.5" wide. Don't think it's 4. Doesn't bent. Link: www.memphiscaraudio.com/products/accessories/enclosures-and-grills/

    Two 15" setup

If space were right, I'd do two Q 15s on 3 or 4k sealed. I kinda want 4 sealed on 5k in my explorer until I get a bigger truck
